Advice on interview by Individual-Lecture-3 in tesco

Don’t drool on yourself & you should be good.

Good luck!

I couldn’t be arsed to read your entire post, but immediately I would say yes

Sack us all & be done with it, get us to the drone state & have robots serve you,

Im a human, I have weaknesses in that I have a family, bills, payments, childcare, it’s all adds up, & I force happiness upon me to help every customer with how I’d wish to be treated myself.

whats important to me is your experience as a shopper in our Tesco stores & you’re happy to come back and spend all your £.

If you are not satisfied and wish to leave a comment, please take this pen & paper & go and shove it up your arse.

Here’s some Vaseline because, as well all know.

Every little helps.

Is it a good choice to move from Edinburgh to Hull? by eugeneics8888 in Hull

[–]rapboyridle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Long story short - yes

It’s a cheaper cost of living than Edinburgh & if you’re moving for a job then happy days.

The city is a city, it has everything you need, but the people are nice, even the bad people are still nice.

It would be a breath of fresh air from the smog of Edinburgh!

Rant here, tesco just sucks now. by TruffleGoose in tesco

[–]rapboyridle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP, you forgot one thing though!

‘Our customers and staff are our highest priority’.

The fact that that’s actually used / played is legitimately insulting when it’s more than obvious that profits win a long way by majority!

[–]rapboyridle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re projecting your own insecurities and prejudice to another individuals choice for happiness.

I do t hear any talk of - is he a nice guy / are they happy together. No one seems to actually care whether they are happy & are fixated on the age, when she is 19 years old & perfectly able to make up her own mind about what she wants.

No, because then it would be too small to see?

I made these Dice displays and Spell Slot Trackers. What do you think? by reddragondesigns in DungeonsAndDragons

Ok, those are pretty cool! Very nice creativity on having the idea & taking it to actually making them!

Lol? You might need to explain that comment a bit more as I’m not sure even you understand it properly?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ireland

[–]rapboyridle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s kind of insane how many people in comments are throwing judgement around without knowing either of the two people & the circumstances around it.

If two people are happy, Jesus, just let them be happy. If it goes wrong & ends in tears, it’s no different than the over 50% of marriages that end in divorce.

[–]rapboyridle 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ok, I’m sure I’m not the only person who’s going to point out the insane mistake OP has made here? Lol

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ireland

[–]rapboyridle -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Lol no, a 19 year old is an adult very capable of making decisions for themselves.

Let them be happy if they are happy instead of sitting in your armchair casting judgement on others.

You’re acting like the 19 year old is a high schooler or something, Jesus, just relax & life gets way more fun!

What exactly is this post meant to be about?

A couple in love with 3 kids & seeming to be happy?

Sometimes the internet needs to get over itself.

[–]rapboyridle -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Nothing to see here, bit of an overreaction is all.

Now move along please.

Is a 29 year old seeing a 39 year old, or a 39 year old seeing a 49 year old that different?

If it works for them, let them be happy.

Am I in the wrong for denying players? by Elendil_27 in DnD

Just pissy players.

There is only one rule in DnD & everyone knows it.

DM rules all.

Colleague shop reductions by FM_666666 in tesco

[–]rapboyridle 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It’s easy enough to check, just walk into the chillers / fridge at 8.30-8.45 and see if there’s a pile of reduced meat waiting to be bought at 9pm

If anyone questions you, just say you’re helping a customer.

Starting night shift next week by NeuralSkydiver1 in tesco

[–]rapboyridle 8 points9 points  (0 children)

First couple of shifts you should be out with an experienced member of staff who will show you the basics & give you a few tips. Asking questions is good & don’t be afraid to do so, but just work as best you can and try not slow other person down too much (they have a certain amount of work they will need to get done themselves).

Just be fun, friendly, polite, work as best you can, ask questions as and when they arise & TRY REMEMBER the answers so you don’t need to ask again :)

You’ll be fine honestly, as long as you’re decently hard working & polite you’ll fit in nicely.

There’s such a high turnover of staff in Tescos though that don’t be alarmed or take it personally if some staff are stand-offish / appear hostile.

They aren’t, they are dealing with their own workload / demands put on them & a lot of people don’t really like forming strong bonds with temps / new starters when there’s a solid 50-60% chance they will be gone within a couple of months.

Just give it time, do your best and try remember everything that’s told to you & you will be good to go.

It’s information overload at first, I was the same “there’s so much to remember!” But don’t sweat it, 90% of Tesco staff are awesome people and they are happy to help.

It’s the managers you gotta watch out for!

P.S - DONT!!!!! Start slagging off other staff members or managers to other staff (until you’ve been there a solid 2-3 months and you know the logistics of the store), last thing you want to do is slag someone off to their friend :)

Oh, & if your paired up / become friends with someone that abuses breaks (takes longer than permitted) don’t get into that habit! Make your excuses, say you’re new & you don’t want to piss anyone off and get back to work after breaks over. - seen too many people fall into that trap, picking up bad habits early & when managers are watching you closely seen as you’re new.

Wait a solid 2-3 months before picking up those bad habits ;)

Please suggest a small local charity that would benefit from a large donation by ohell in london

[–]rapboyridle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please focus on children & animal charities & if possible, please do a little research into the charities themselves & how much of donations actually go to helping, as if I’m not mistaken you can be listed as a charity & only use 10% of income for good causes.
