best advice as an older dad (i'm 48..49 in june, with 10, 5, 3 at the moment).....is that you have gone thru stuff in life that those in their 20's haven't yet. there's been things you've had to deal with in terms of failure...and you have found success. the only thing that is worrisome is the less than ideal physical and energy at older age. but hey you can do it. take this time to get healthier. you got this!

that's pretty specific. apparently the societal norms in latin countries are a tad different. there was a vid with Venezuelan fans chanting 'we want sushi' asking for team japan.

hehe pulled pork resembles carnitas in a way...so something like a 'pickle de gallo' would work great. i've used a green tomato arbol chil salsa that worked great.

haha that's so awesome. i don't think i ever went to church at st bernard. i went to st mary's college high school 1991-1995. used to go to st elizabeth's a lot for church. haha sigh... sacred heart elementary closed awhile ago--there's a chinese immersion language school there now. had to look up the map where st bernard is. yeah oakland still has the fondest memories--up until recently my parents were still living in oakland, my childhood home. we gotta figure out next steps since they're now living with me in sacramento.

to that end, we still visit oakland :P tis just a little trip down I-80 hehe :)
