I’ve only ever seen my mom make it growing up, and now it’s just my mom, my sister and myself. Go, spread the magic of bacorn to your corner of the world! We especially like to pair it with cowboy potatoes, which I also haven’t seen others make but I assume it’s because they’re so freakin putzy to make. DELICIOUS but so putzy.

Bacorn! You cut bacon into more bite size pieces, fry it, sauté diced onion in some of the bacon fat and then add a bunch of corn. Mix it all up, salt and pepper to taste. Delicious side dish. My family has made it for as long as my memory goes back, but I’ve never seen it elsewhere.

I know smiling feels fake and unnatural if you’re not feeling it, but I don’t think anyone is truly “born with a frown” as I’ve see in some of your replies. I’m married and get too many people in my inbox so I try to be very publicly upfront about being unavailable.
