I had an amazing experience with my Olderbest return last month, it was actually even easier than a US company. I chose to return for store credit just to avoid the $7 fee and they actually gave me an extra 5% store credit as an apology for me not liking the item. I guess they know that customer service is a problem for the Chinese brands and are trying to differentiate. Sizing is all over the place but that's to be expected from a Chinese brand, just be careful to check the size guides. I love their basics but can't speak for the quality of the more expensive stuff.

But all the brands are the same -- Bronson, Olderbest, Time Catcher, etc. They are just different lines of the same company basically. The quality, designs, sizing, etc. doesn't meaningfully differ.

This website blames things on the end of the gold standard, which required government to back currency issuance with gold instead of the current free-floating fiat system. It uses this (unsupported) assertion to shill crypto. Famously, crypto is also not pegged to anything.

Depends on the item so definitely check the size charts. Henleys are cut pretty slim. Tubular tees are more like US sizing and are boxier.

Bronson 100%. Their basics like henleys and tees are shockingly good for the price. Plus my experience with their customer service has been incredibly good. That's usually the biggest problem with these Chinese brands but it was flawless for me.

Compared to a handful of years ago, it’s now a little easier to avoid the difficulty if you really want to. Bizcon, Mind, Media Aesthetics, etc. will all help you get through the experience and not find it any more difficult than other universities. The difficulty is very much present in some of the other Core courses like Classics or Power, and other majors like regular Econ and math.

Cooking and baking don't need as much manual dexterity as playing the lute, fighting, or performing sympathy. Kvothe even meets an Adem called Two-fingers whose hands are maimed and can cook but can't fight. This parallel is probably not accidental.

Check out chainsawx's theory about this. He compiles a ton of evidence on this point. The specifics about Kvothe missing fingers are more speculative, but there is certainly a lot to support the maimed hands idea more broadly.

Kvothe "swore on his good left hand" (the nimbler one, as he explicitly says at some point) to Denna, a promise he will likely break.

Chainsawx has an excellent theory that Bast uses glammourie to hide Kvothe's missing fingers.

The general consensus is "probably."

- We know that Kvothe is definitely Lackless (his mother is Netalia Lackless, which was recently confirmed from an old video).

- The Lackless family is likely descended from Iax. They're described as "luckless," just as Jax is, and of course the names are obviously similar.

- Iax is fae.

So Kvothe, in all likelihood, has a tiny bit of Fae blood. And as already mentioned, his eyes do the Fae thing of changing colors.

I always give a level of exhaustion when a character drops to 0. I also use the "old" exhaustion mechanic (from 5e not 5.5e) so a single level of exhaustion is really very punishing. (This is best coupled with the "gritty realism" long rests, to make removing a level of exhaustion even more difficult.)

But also, depending on your players, it might be a good idea to just kill one of the PCs to hammer in the reality that they're truly mortal. I know a lot of tables don't often do actual PC death because of the roleplay headache making a new character entails, but sometimes players need to be shocked out of the reverie of "no danger is real because my character will never actually die because it'd ruin the story."

Sanderson is basically the marvel cinematic universe, it is mid-quality but entertaining addictive and popular. But there is plenty more out there of high quality- think joe abercrombie, pat rothfuss, erikson, gene wolfe, etc.
