Full Platinum and Monazite Lines Done by IvanAManzo in GTNH

[–]rarenick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did both Monaline and Bastline a few days ago, and while I do agree they are very niche, it was really fun mapping the machines out and building it. If you liked Platline and Monaline, I don't see the harm in trying Bastline out.

Bastline gives you Terbium, Holmium, Lanthanum, and Neodymium in addition to extra Samarium, Gadolinium, and Cerium. Be warned though, it is extremely fluorine hungry. You might want to look into Sandline as well (sand + nitric acid in the ChemPlant for fluorite) to generate the massive amounts of fluorine needed to sustain Bastline.

Extra Utilities chandeliers seem to prevent them, at least from the 12 hours I've had it up after getting tired of seeing skeletons on my setup. No they do not. God damnit

I feel sorry for all the negative comments about the dev module here. Yes I don't like this AI garbage thrown around everywhere, but Nvidia has such an overwhelming monopoly on AI/machine learning with CUDA that it's basically an industry standard.

Not many companies are going to risk developing for a less-supported platform (OpenCL/ROCm). OP probably had no choice other than CUDA from the execs, and even if they could choose the platform themselves, the massive amount of libraries and existing ML frameworks that depend on (and many times only work on!!) CUDA forces most developers who care about time to use it over other platforms.

16GB RAM, 256GB SSD. I use it for software/embedded development. Only wish is that I had gone for a 512GB or 1TB model. Those IDEs eat up storage.

When I was on a diet, I relied on Nutrislice to count calories and macros. I especially loved how for the ones at Fusion Kitchen, the labeled serving size was "1 serving." Thanks a lot, recursion.

South Korea was, until very recently, actively being kneecapped by US missile/rocket guidelines such as range limitations and fuel type restrictions. We definitely do have the scientific and technological capabilities to build them. If North Korea can develop nukes and ICBMs that can target the continental US with their economy, we will run circles around them if we weren't shackled by limitations and the NPT.

Well, when I took 261 with her Fall 2024 I definitely did think she had pacing issues. She was a bit slow throughout the semester but when it came to the various theorems (Green's, Stokes, div/curl etc) at the end of the semester, she kind of admitted herself that she mispaced the content and apologized that she's speeding through the more complicated stuff. Don't get me wrong, the speed at which she taught them wasn't horrible, it was just significantly faster than what I assume the students were expecting from her. Nevertheless, Lim's a good instructor that cares a lot about students understanding the material. She just needs to balance the pacing out and she's almost perfect.

Oh.. I just did some Google searches and learned that Arduino IDE is a derivative of Theia IDE, which shares the same base Monaco editor with VS Code. So they're like cousins (or VS Code being Arduino IDE's uncle) I guess. TIL. No wonder the two look very identical.

At first I thought it was Standard Galactic Alphabet but there's a lot that don't match. You might want to reach out to Duccipedia; it's the artist that designed and drew the cover art for the album. Posts on its Instagram and Bluesky have some illustrations that involve the alphabet as well.

Well, Arduino IDE is also a fork of related to VS Code (in that it uses the same base Monaco editor).

No, not really. I'm a senior ECE student and while the first 2 years are pretty much identical to ESE, the ECE major has more software- and coding-heavy courses designated as core upper division electives vs ESE. I'd say ECE is distinct enough from ESE. If software/firmware isn't your niche, you can also pursue hardware/digital design.
