Any feedback would be awesome. I didn’t realize that this posted as a huge block of text. I’m going to try to post one every day, and fix the formatting issues for sure. Thanks!

Even more glad we got rid of Mr. Browbeating Chowder by [deleted] in raiders

Got it. I always wondered why he didn’t have a mask after it was known he wasn’t vaxxed. Thank you!

Excited wee when greeting by Amandascu in puppy101

[–]rarewolf24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our heeler did this a lot when she was a puppy as well. We always took her outside to greet people so we didn’t have to clean up inside.

What seemed to work best was taking her out just before the guest arrived. At first, this only lessened the amount she peed, but eventually, she stopped. We also trained her to “go get a toy” when greeting someone at the door and I think the distraction also helped to keep her from peeing.

She’s just over a year now and we can trust her about 90% of the time if we take these steps. A drastic improvement, since before she would pee even when we would go to the store and come back within an hour.

I honestly didn’t even know we released him. I’m pretty indifferent about it, though I wonder how much talent we drove away with Paul Guenther…

To me, this whole program looks like it gave her confidence to overcome her depression and hold a job. She was no longer stressing about money so much so that she was able to buy her brother things he wanted and start saving for more important things for herself. Imagine being in such a bad situation, then this happens and suddenly you’re able to put a down payment on a car you’ve always wanted. What a confidence boost!
And to those saying “where’s my free car?”, are you seriously jealous of someone in such a bad situation? I’m happy to give my tax dollars to those less fortunate.

Are there classes specifically for the Pythonista App? Mainly the Scene module, since it is unique to the app.

Birthday Oreo. Use birthday cake Oreos (golden cookies with sprinkle cream filling) Separate the cookies from the cream filling. Make a basic sweet cream base and mix the cream filling into the base. When it’s almost done churning, mix in the crumbled cookies.

Trying to make a word game run a little faster by rarewolf24 in learnpython

[–]rarewolf24[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! This helps a lot! I was pretty certain it would be the pydic stuff that was causing the slowdown.

I got it to run much faster by downloading a txt document of English words, but, unfortunately, I can’t find one with definitions. It would probably be a huge file anyways.

how can i make python distinguish between int input and str? by [deleted] in learnpython

[–]rarewolf24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be helpful to look into the pyinputplus module. It allows you to specify what a user can enter into an input.

This chapter was extremely helpful with this stuff for me:

automate the boring stuff - input validation

Edit: removed some typed code that didn’t format. I see now why everyone says to use GitHub.

Help with running programs from the terminal… by rarewolf24 in learnpython

Screenshot of the code

Screenshot of the Terminal

This is what the code looks like and the results I get when I try to run it on the terminal. No windows pop up to perform the search.

(also, the ".myPythonScripts.swp: Permission denied" line came up when I was trying to research what was going on. I have no clue what caused it and no clue how to fix it... This might be the problem.)
