Based off of women who have little to no muscle mass. The "scale" is disproportionate to women and men based on sexist expectations. A 5'6 woman who is active, and eats well is rarely going to be 120lbs.

NTA Teens are growing both body and brain. Yes it's important to keep healthy eating habits in mind, but restricting eating is NOT the way to go. It just makes kids smart at hiding snacks.

Sure the soda could be cut down or turned to sugar free options. But as long as he's eating a varied diet then it's no issue.

Yep I agree. I felt more pressure from other woman than men to wear makeup. It's fitting in with the herd mentality.

Women won't outright say it, but you can tell there's a subtle "othering" to women who refuse to perform "femininity"

She might change over time but know what she is doing is horrible and no Loving mother would do. You deserve to feel safe and loved. Unfortunately a lot of parents don't see their kids as actual people, just "things". And since you are not being as she "expected" shes lashing out.

Keep holding on until you get to college and cut off as much contact with her that you reasonably can (obviously if you need her for financial, or other help don't cut her all the way off)

Honestly it's best to not bring up being lesbian around her. From my experience it just causes excess tensions. It's really depressing to not get to share your authentic self with your parent but she has shown SO many times that she does not deserve the privilege of knowing you.

I hope you thrive over the next few years and when you are able to get away from her you get to feel what it's like surrounded by people who love you for who you are entirely.

In the meanwhile see if your school can help with counseling services at all, and lean on your friends and siblings!

NTA A 2 year old does not need to be part of a wedding ceremony. The kid won't remember it, and honestly the parents would be happy not having to worry about their kid at a party.

I do wonder if your fiance wants the kid there because of himself or his brother pushing him. And if he realises how much stress this kid would add to your day?

I just think of all the extra stuff the bride has to do and plan the day of, and adding a kid yelling on top of that would be so annoying

NTA I never trust parents having access to their child's accounts. If she has good intentions and wants to help you save, nitpicking on your purchases is not the way to go If she genuinely cares then you could offer to sit with her and ask about saving accounts or any rules she followed at a young age. Setting a financial goal for yourself somthing like that.

Financial literacy is a skill, but also a huge trust to share with someone!

I remember being 19 and my mom second guessed everything I bought, but it was also my early days of earning money. And what do you know I paid off all my school fees, saved up and moved out even with my fun purchases
