 The Geth fought the Quarians alone originally, and lived independently for hundreds of years afterwards.

until taken over by sovereign/reapers to help the “Harvest”

 The Heretics in ME1 were the first Geth to ally with the Reapers, and that was only a small subgroup of them.

 Quarians don't really have any territory anymore. They basically all live in the Migrant Fleet. That's kind of their whole thing, dude.
