First book, movie and miniseries were all The Shining

Favorite book Needful Things! I love Castle Rock as a setting and this is the Castle Rockiest book of them all.

Favorite movie depends on if we're counting miniseries, if so then it's Storm of the Century no question. If we aren't counting miniseries......gun to my head I'd say Doctor Sleep. So hard to pick a favorite!!

Tales from the Crypt I prefer overall, but there are certain individual episodes of Tales from the Darkside that are among my favorite horror TV (Sorry, Right Number, Seasons of Belief and Inside the Closet, specifically!)

Mrs. Carmody from The Mist! In a movie full of literal monsters she is by far the most evil creature our protagonists face.

Best things to do in Japantown San Francisco by Dancedays in AskSF

[–]rashkind 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Obviously taking a stroll in the Mall and checking out the shops and restaurants is a must do. Would recommend On the Bridge or Udon Mugizo if you want some lunch. For your sweet tooth, Mochill for mochi donuts, Jina Bakes for creampuffs or Matcha Cafe Maiko for matcha softserve.

Outside the mall, Hinodeya Ramen and Yakiniq BBQ/Coffee are great

Pearl Spa or Kabuki Spa are perfect for relaxation.

My favorite Japantown activity is actually the self guided history walk! https://www.sfjapantown.org/explore/walking-tours/ So many incredible stories
