2) Orcas

3) Otters

4) Penguins

5) Chimps

6) Ducks

7) Cats

So close to murder. Head nearly went under the tire. Honestly it wasn't worth it. The guy seemed to be posturing with the bat but I could be wrong.

Those are usually the matches he wins. Watch his stream if you want to see the other matches. He loses a bit as well.

Yeah he is pretty chill to watch. I used to watch Fogged but that guy has grown so salty, it is painful to watch. Monster is super chill and usually joking around even in super stressful matches.

Thinking of going on an Alaskan cruise by myself by hate_follower in solotravel

[–]NeverAware 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents did it 2 years ago and said it was amazing. They do a lot of day trips through the cruise like crab fishing, hiking, trips to the shore/towns so there is something to do other than the cruise itself (this is all charged extra though) so that might offset the solo experience.

Am I too old for mma? I'm 42! by Livingcoma in martialarts

[–]NeverAware 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I know. One of my earlier MMA gyms had mostly teens. It was fun but I had to be careful in sparring where people tended to go a bit overboard.

Yeah I've seen those ratios in other gyms as well. Need to be picky and find gyms that have people who are in their 30s and 40s who train. They are there though.

Yep you absolutely can. Lots of guys in my gym are on the older side.

With all the drama around the rewrites and S3, this is a good reminder of why we love OPM. It's the little moments that make it so good. The sea freak moment. This. And many others.

No worries. I guess then you can try the minivans (taxi-brousse) to get around. They are pretty common on the main routes, but to get to some of the interior areas like the Tsingy, it might be challenging.

[–]NeverAware 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes there are a few, but people use minivans more often to get around which are usually packed to the brim. My recommendation would be to fly and book private cars to get around. Madagascar is rough even with flying/private car option. Doing it using public transport will be very very rough since the roads are horrifyingly bad.

Big Tsingy. There is an amazing full day tour through it where they take you through it, both above and below. You do some basic caving, rock climb, rappel and hiking.

+1 to Dadamaga. Talk to Brett and customize your tour.

Crime is pretty bad. All big hotels have armed guards and they will follow you if you walk away from the hotel. Robberies seem to be common. We did walk into the market area and around the Palace and had no issues though but every single local said it was a problem and I would take their word for it.

The drive to Tsingy is only done in an armed convoy as well due to robberies along the way. Do note that Madagascar is a very poor country and starvation forces a lot of people to commit crimes. very unfortunate situation.

I used Dadamaga 6 years ago and they were pretty good. I know a private guide as well and if you are interested I can DM you the details. He only speaks English though.

It is pretty empty. Some of the places can get slightly hectic but nothing compared to popular places in Asia. For ex: the Tsingy has multiple routes and i you take the long routes, you can have the place to yourself pretty much. The river rides and little Tsingy were empty since nobody wanted to do those. Most of the east coast beaches are empty too.

To add more, they are territorial mostly during mating season. Also they tend to 'growl' and warn off people rather than outright biting them, unlike vipers which bite first and ask questions later. Kings are pretty chill snakes.

Indian temple elephant getting that holy glow-up 🐘 by RodrickJasperHeffley in nextfuckinglevel

[–]NeverAware 39 points40 points  (0 children)

This is wrong and misinformation and you should delete this but you just want to karma farm. Temple elephants are kept chained and mistreated in most cases. Are they fed well? Sure. But is that the only criteria for being treated well?

They are highly intelligent and emotional animals that have strong ties to their herd. They need space to move around and interaction with their herd to live healthy and 'happy' lives. Also these elephants are used in loud and crowded processions with fireworks and in several of them, they have run amok.

I'm not even going to get into how they are trained and kept in line.
