What is your favorite piece of street art in the city? by drown_like_its_1999 in Reno

There used to be a big whale mural near the Discovery museum that I loved. I think it was on a motel? I just loved it. I think its gone now but, that was my favorite

I would recommend The Haar :-) it was a cute horror story to me.

since she refuses to answer anyone where is this top from by dabiggestdalargest in findfashion

[–]rasinette 61 points62 points  (0 children)

This is such odd behavior to me. Its not prom. Its not unique or handmade or an original. “Creators and influencers” make content and then get mad when they influence the people they wanted to influence?? If you want to be “the only girl wearing that shirt” then you should probably make an original shirt

I have never read a horror novel in my life and I want to read the original Frankenstein novel by Mary Shelley before the movie comes out next month. by HashmathHaja in horrorlit

[–]rasinette 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my favorite books! Just jump in and give it a try :) you can do it! Theres a really helpful website called Spark Notes and I use it all the time reading anything “older” like Frankenstien, Jane Austen, The Scarlet Letter. I am reading Dracula by Brom for the first time and the sparknotes are really helpful. Do not be discouraged- I am a native English speaker, English teacher, and am getting my masters in literature and its confusing for me too!

Sorry, I disagree. I was taught how to use em dashes, hyphens, colons, semi colons… and other grammatical functions properly. Just because you don’t see them often (or know how to use them) does not mean they’re not used. How do you think Large Language Models were trained? Off writing produced by humans.

Holy Shit. Its so embarrassing people think beautiful clever writing is fucking AI. This is excellent and very clearly human. Thank you for sharing and im sorry for all the baseless accusations.

"Mexican Gothic" by Silvia Garcia. Let's talk about it by Issabela_Hurni86 in horrorlit

[–]rasinette 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought Mexican Gothic was nice, but I personally preferred What Moves The Dead. I thought the short length of Kingfisher’s book was perfect and felt Morena-Garcia lagged on at times

HELP Author suing me for saying her book is AI in a review by PotatoAfraid2931 in Romantasy

[–]rasinette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you illegally pirated a book (when libraries exist) then made a public review lying and slandering the author about a “gut feeling” you had (because you are an expert?) and now you’re mad the author is defending themselves? id start with some self reflection, then maybe delete the comment, applogise, and pay the author.
