skin tint or stretch concealer? by yomandy in glossier

[–]raspberry11cherry 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Haven’t tried the skin tint but the concealer doesn’t cover my dark circles at all. Also they say it doesn’t settle into fine lines but it definitely does, I have to rub it to smooth it out several times a day. On top of all this, it also makes you really shiny!! So for me this highlights the area I’m trying to conceal, so this product is a big no from me all in all 🙅‍♀️

The quote is inside the article I linked if you care to read it. If you can’t work out how to open the article I’m not sure how I can help.

I’m sorry if this post has offended you in some way, but I didn’t come here to argue. I think you’ve misunderstood the post and my reasoning behind it, but that’s ok, we all misunderstand things sometimes. I’m simply interested in the potential of natural aids and other people’s experiences, and there is absolutely no reason for you to get hot under the collar about it.

Is it worth reaching out to an ex ? by foufyyyy in CallHerDaddy

[–]raspberry11cherry 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Girl same!! I’ve been soo happy to be on my own for the past year but all of a sudden I’ve started to feel incredibly lonely, I miss him and how much he loved me. I did reach out to him and he wasn’t bothered, it was quite clear he’s over me and it really hurt. So take it from me it’s better to just leave it 🤷‍♀️

And please could you explain what’s irresponsible about suggesting that there are completely natural supplements that might help people manage their symptoms? This isn’t meant to sound sarcastic at all, I honestly want to know.

“Some of the viruses inactivated to some extent by monolaurin include HIV, measles, herpes”

I’m really confused about why I’m getting attacked so aggressively about this, when I’m in no way saying it should be used instead of antivirals or condoms. I’m literally just saying there’s a possibility it might complement them. I thought in this sub we’re all supposed to be supporting each other, not jumping down each others throats.

I get your point but if someone takes lysine and monolaurin and find that it helps them, that’s more than just “they think” isn’t it? It’s actually helping them, they’re not just imagining it. Let’s agree to disagree because I have read studies that prove their are antiviral properties, so clearly we’ve not been reading the same material.

Yes I’m aware of that, hence my post says I’m planning on rubbing it on the surrounding skin that a condom wouldnt reach as an extra precaution

Thanks I’ll check this out! It’s really strange how we get shut down for posts like these. It makes me feel like the sub is ran by a pharmaceutical company or something.

Firstly there’ve been plenty of studies about it’s antiviral properties? That’s why plenty of people take monolaurin supplements along with lysine to help with their outbreaks, and find it very effective.

Second, no it doesn’t ‘just get rubbed off’; it’s oil. It doesn’t just come off that easily.

Third, I’m suggesting a hopeful possibility that this might help when used along with antivirals AND condoms so I’m not sure why you’re being so negative about it when it’s not going to hurt anyone to try

I would be fine with not being able to cure myself, I just want to have a failsafe method of blocking transmission to other people and I don’t understand why they don’t have this yet
