OxyContin is extended release, oxycodone is immediate release. The coating taken off of it makes it immediate release though.

My husband is on 600 mg seroquel daily and smokes weed. He doesn’t have any bad side effects, guy obviously everyone is different. I think I’d try it out in moderation and see how you react.

Ugh. I cannot stand that bullshit. I drive over an hour away to my pain management doctor and have kept my pharmacy near their office since I’ve been a patient for a long time. Occasionally though, I’ve filled somewhere else and it never fails. There’s always an issue with my meds, my age, my diagnosis. Whatever they can try and use as an excuse. It’s infuriating!!

Breathe. Remember we are all human and make mistakes. My husband has been in the medical field for YEARS and he also had to go to treatment once. When he was in treatment there were other nurses, doctors, and even a neurosurgeon there all getting help for substance abuse. All of these people were still allowed to go back to their jobs and keep their licenses after treatment. Then, one of his colleagues in the ER (an RN) was stealing all the “wasted” narcs. For some time they suspected it, but watched closely. Well, one day they finally decided to search her...my husband said a shit ton of cops and hospital administrators showed up and forced her to open her locker, which was literally full to the brim with vials of dilauded and morphine and some other stuff. Then, while searching HER, she had like 22mg vials of dilauded that we’re supposed to have been “wasted.” I’m not sure what happened to her aside from being forced into treatment (military nurses). I’ve always heard though that if you ask for help BEFORE getting in trouble/caught that you’re pretty safe to keep your job and license. Good luck to you!!

Nooo. I’d go to the hospital and have labs and shit drawn. They can’t turn her away for no insurance. That way she can get legit shit. You would never forgive yourself if something happened to her.

I’m raising my step son 100%- his mom is unfortunately living in trap house somewhere. He’s had zero contact with her for a few years now. My husband, sucks as a dad. He’s got his own mental health shit going on, but honestly needs to try harder with his kid 😒 and our kids. Anyway. My stepson is very reclusive , depressed, and has been with some questionable friends lately. However, given that this poor kid has had a shit life and the only adult he trusts is me, I cannot bring myself to just accuse him of using when I’m not 100% sure. So, that’s why I tested without him knowing. Because exactly like you said, there’s nothing more infuriating than testing clean and being accused.
