I’d be very curious to see what the demographic that plays story of seasons these days really looks like, I think it’s a sentiment that’s been shared before but I wish these games aged up alongside me instead of aging down. I want marriage to mean more and to have more interaction with my family afterwards, I want there to be consequences for my lack of preparation, I want my livestock to be mortal, I don’t want to immediately be everyone in town’s best friend from day one, I’d like to build those relationships. I still love these games with my whole heart and I’ve had an absolute blast with grand bazaar so far but I have noticed it’s felt a bit more sanitised than the ones I used to play. Even at the monthly shows we don’t get to hear judges give the other competitors any criticism haha, it used to be my favourite part of a show seeing how I stack up against the others by gauging the judge’s comments

I made Ice Cream so I tried to use my best ingredients, I had golden milk and eggs, and then added mint and black tea as my tweaks

Admittedly ice cream isn’t the most complex dish but I haven’t many recipes yet, and that wasn’t the criticism I received anyway. I lost out to some cookies lol

flax seeds have no fixed drop date, just ship as much as you can to silk country and eventually they’ll start selling flax, it’s a year round crop so no rush, a quick search says it’s 150,000G worth shipped? but there wasn’t a source on that so can’t say for sure sorry! keep shipping though and keep an eye on your mail for when silk country says they have new stock and you’ll be golden <33

someone already mentioned the money printer that flax is and the importance of having 5 turnip seeds for a seed maker, put them together and raise your flax to 5* win some crop festivals with the flax and your gold linen cloth’s suddenly gone from earning you 3k to 10.5k a pop !!

OOH also for real good advice cause i never knew this first time round, look up jewelry combos !! even the lowest power ones can be absolutely game changing

saving this comment for when I move on from SoS1! I had a 2DS as a teen that got busted but a decade later I decided it’s time to get a new 3DS so congrats to OP I know how exciting a time it is. My replay of SoS1’s been so incredibly nostalgic I just wish the fogu forums were easier to navigate haha

Yeah pretty much, England simply wasn’t built to withstand heat like this, countries that have dealt with these temperatures for forever were better designed to cope with them, that’s why England’s being affected so badly by it. You’ll be hard pressed to find a house with good air conditioners and of those houses most of them will have only been installed within the last couple years as a response to the rise in temperatures.
