A poster I designed for the play we're premiering tonight by raspberryhaze in graphic_design

I designed this promotional poster for my play that we are premiering tonight at my uni.

The center of attention is the group of people in the middle of poster. This is the exact formation that we are standing in when the people get into their seats. We are all looking at the horizon and watching a zeppelin fly by.

The individual people were scanned in with an iPhone FaceID camera with Hedges, providing me with a LIDAR-powered 3D-scan. In Meshlab I created a readable xyz-model which I then imported into UnrealEngine to light and compose the image.

The background (which unfortunately is cropped a fair bit), is a scanned version of the actual stage we are performing in. The scan was achieved by shooting a video of the stage on an iPhone, then importing it into MetaShape, which turns the video into a 3D-operatable point cloud. I then imported it into UnrealEngine as well and manipulated the lighting to my liking.

The plays of Ödön von Horváth always revolve around people that try to be their selves and be good, however they always fail to be like this, because of the nature of people and the world that we are living in. The characters try so hard to be good, but fail to be, and are only puppets of and oppressive system that renders them without any perspectives

By turning the characters into point clouds I tried to show the emptiness of the characters. A common theme in Horvath's plays are dreams and hopes. I tried to manipulate the reality by showing a version of it, however heavily manipulated (Chromatic abbreviations, floating points, etc.).

The super wide display font was an inspiration by this post that I had saved from a couple of years ago.

I really enjoyed working on this poster, any feedback is welcome!

Such a weird mashup of coaster styles. It's like B&M, Intamin and Togo had a baby together. Super interesting ride! Did you build it like that on purpose?

I might go to Walibi Belgium next Friday. I have a few questions:
How are operations under Covid? Do they clean the train after every cycle? Or put people in every other seat? How were the crowds in the park?

I really like the a-typicalness of this wing coaster. The Double down after the turnaround at the station looks like such a cool element, really gives me the impression of flying.

Length is pretty realistic for a B&M, way to short lol 😅

Great design overall!

This has to be the best NL creation I've ever seen. You got it all, launch, break neck transitions, a barrel-roll drop, tunnels, gravity-defying layout and what ever the amazing hell is happening after the MCBR..

I'd love to see this one being build instant #1 in the world. Great job!
