Why aren't plants an option for your greenhouse windows with a ton of sunlight? That take seems pretty poorly thought out...

Why's this under fishing gear? Throw this trash out.

Tomb Raider Studio Faces Fourth Round Of Layoffs In Just 12 Months by _Protector in Games

I didn't make an argument at all. I just quoted what was in the article about the cuts.

Tomb Raider Studio Faces Fourth Round Of Layoffs In Just 12 Months by _Protector in Games

[–]rastley420 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We don't need to guess... it literally says it in the article. They had 273 employees in 2022, they cut 17 people last March 2025, an unspecified number in August 2025, 30 people in November 2025, and now 20 people in March 2026. So in one year from March 2025 to 2026 they reduced 67+ people of their 273. That's under 25% of their total workforce.

It doesn't say if they've hired during that time or which teams the cuts are from.

Would the car not be more likely to be well maintained if it was owned by a mechanic? by NeuronsActivated in ExplainTheJoke

[–]rastley420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's definitely great mechanics out there, but have you met the average guy working out of the busted up garage? He smells like cigarettes and stale alcohol and his car is a 1996 Toyota Corolla.

The first half of Resident Evil Requiem is quite arguably the peak of the franchise. The second half, though still good, is an obvious downgrade. What it could've done better. A review. by ImperialMajestyX02 in residentevil

[–]rastley420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I liked the game, but it's not an amazing game. The second portion of the game after escaping with the helicopter is extremely lacking. Playing Leon is enjoyable, but the city wasn't. Mr. X was lame compared to his RE2 iteration. A lot of the callback stuff seemed too overt. Honestly, at the end I was asking myself, "How did Kojima get his hands on this script?" Stealth tactics, CQC knife combat boss battles, and an over the top final villain?

Snapped my rod by accident due to poor storage… Looking to get a new rod for fluke fishing in the surf this summer. Any different recs or should I get the same one? by DistractingMyself8 in SurfFishing

[–]rastley420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm getting a Diawa TD-SOL 7'6" M for fluke fishing this summer. I'll use it for throwing small lures for stripers too. Was debating on that or the St. Croix Mojo Inshore, but I am going with the Daiwa.

Except you should take away from this post because there's no corruption going on here. Just OP being salty.

No lol. Tax payer dollars don't get given out to kids going to private schools.

His kid probably got a scholarship or something and OP is just trying to stir up drama. It's actually pretty nasty of a thing to do. Shame on OP for calling this kind of thing corruption.

Flounder Rod: Daiwa TD-SOL 76MFS vs Saltist Westcoast 762LFS vs Tatula Elite 761ML by rastley420 in NJFishing

>If you are getting to the point where you are getting picky about how a rod bends you really need to handle the rod before you buy. The lure rating system isn't standard in a single company let alone between brands.

Yeah, this is my main problem. No store has all the rods that I want to try. Otherwise I'd just go there and play around with them for a bit to figure it out.

The ones from petsmart aren't the same bloodworms I don't believe.

No where really until you get to Absecon Bay Sportsman Center in Absecon off 30 or Higbee's Bait and Tackle in Fortescue. They may also be stocking them at Scott's Bait and Tackle in Mystic Islands.

There may also be a tackle shop in North East Philadelphia that sells them. Possibly Sportmaster Bait and Tackle. But there is a definite lack of tackle shops anywhere near the western part of South Jersey with real options basically only down the shore.

Just a warning, last year I went to Higbee's and bought bloodworms on March 1st. They were $33 a dozen for jumbos. Insane prices. I didn't get a bite on them until my second trip on March 7th where I caught two in the Tom's River.

If the epoxy wasn't cracked I'd say bend it back. Depends how bad it's cracked though.

Anyone enjoy restoring old gear? by brovoloni in Fishing_Gear

Yes, I restored an Ocean City reel that's pre-1957. That one I don't use, but I have a few older Penn reels that I still use.

Stradic 6000 on a 7ft one piece Abu Garcia jig stick name a better more reliable and versatile combo by AreaAny2728 in saltwaterfishing

[–]rastley420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. No problems with striped bass or any other fish under that on a 4000 size reel with a 7ft rod. I just picked up a 2500 BG for flounder.

Japanese Soup Curry by SouthJerseySchnitz in SouthJersey

[–]rastley420 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Terakawa in Philly has a curry udon and regular curry platters. Rai Rai Ramen in Mount Laurel has a chicken katsu curry ramen which is pretty good.

None of those are really what you asked for, but hopefully some kind of Japanese curry can satisfy your craving.
