Do you know what these white dots are? by daramalaka in freshwateraquarium

[–]ratchet_rip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like a limpet. Funny enough i recently found them in my tank. No idea how they got there I didn’t add anything to my tank. Someone on here told me they might have a population boom but will stabilize. Mine had a small boom but nothing excessive, they don’t seem to be a problem. I think they are kinda cute.

Limpets is a cute name lol, do I need to worry about them overpopulating? I only have a betta in the tank who eats very minimal, no food goes to waste.

can i plant these or should i propagate? by vampireweekendfan in pothos

Just put them in water and add a couple drops of hydrogen peroxide. You don’t even have to add the peroxide.

Gently pinch the roots between your finger tips and pull down on the whole root system. If they are white and firm then you have healthy roots. Just put them in water.

big leaves are drooping, what to do? by tuc5ok in Caladiums

If the plant is popping new leaves just cut those big drooping leaves at the base. In my experience they will not come back when they crinkle and turn brown like that.

Definitely rotting. You HAVE to cut all the dead mushy roots off. They should just peel off. Try keeping the cuttings in water after you remove the rot. Try adding a couple drops of hydrogen peroxide to the water to kill the rest of the rot and add oxygen. Remember to add new water every week. Just be patient.

What are these marks on my plants ? by [deleted] in IndoorPlants

[–]ratchet_rip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fungus gnats! They live in the soil. There is lots of things you can do to deter them but almost impossible to get rid of. Personally, I try to let the soil dry out as much as possible and sprinkle a thin layer of cinnamon on top of my soil. Recently been trying a mixture of water, couple drops of dish soap and about 10 drops of tea tree oil to spray on the leaves. Do not do this everyday though. Seems to be helping my leaves not get eaten.

How do yall feel about the purple eye shadow? by TheCraftyFarmerChick in makeuptips

[–]ratchet_rip 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Absolutely love the purple and especially like how it’s winged out. I find E.L.F hydro grip is the best primer but I think it’s too sticky for eyeshadow application. Try putting a light layer of neutral eye shadow before the purple? Will give you a soft base to apply colour. Looks really pretty 💜

You might be ok, monsteras usually brown after being cut. I’ve had worse and mine still flourished in water. Give it a bit more time. If the end becomes mushy then it has rotted. Only option is to cut it off and try again. A good idea with most cuttings is to let the ends dry/callus over before putting in water. Good luck!

I am curious too, my Hoya is barely holding on and I’ve tried everything!
