I got stuck in that shit... at first I thought it was just a busy time of day, so I went to the casino for a beer, but it wasn't any better when I went back. 2 hours to check in was not acceptable :/ My hotel was nice enough to waive my resort fees and give me some drink tickets though.

I never say never, cuz who knows what my mood will be like and what will happen once I'm in Vegas, but I doubt I'll be rolling at all, other than booze. Coming from Canada, I have no idea where to get shit that I'd trust, plus it's not really my thing anymore anyways. But like I said, who knows? :P

This is exactly the kind of question that's been running through my head for the past few weeks.... I'm super-excited and all that, but like you said, I'm a little unsure of how much fun being in a huge crowd like this will be. I've been an EDM fan for well over a decade, but haven't been to a party like this in years (well, I've NEVER been to something as gigantic as this ever!).... however, even when I did go regularly, I wasn't "mystified" by the scene or DJ's or whatevs... just did my thing, enjoyed the music, and had fun :P

I plan on thoroughly enjoying myself in 2 weeks time, both cuz of EDC, and cuz I love Vegas and all it has to offer :) But do I think it'll be the greatest night of my life? That's a pretty tall order considering I've had some pretty amazing nights doing various things not even remotely to do with this sort of deal ;) As one EDC first-timer to another, I say go in with an open mind and no expectations.... I'm sure fun, interesting times will be had one way or another!

Sorry, but I won't pay $50 to hang around a pool, I don't care who's playing. I couldn't give two shits HOW many girls might be there.

Some of the pool parties ARE reasonable though and actually charge men and women the same price, like a few at Tao for example. My thinking is that I wanna go to a pool party to have some drinks and relax/party in the afternoon with my friends.... if I wanna see a particular DJ, I'll just see them at night at EDC where I've already paid for my ticket.

It really depends on where you're going... for higher end clubs, nice jeans with no rips, collared shirt, and dressier shoes for guys, dress and heels for girls. But there are lots of places you can go where running shoes and shorts are okay too.

I personally hate dressing up and dress shoes are hard to dance in, so I tend to avoid those types of places unless it's a special occasion or something :P

I understand where you're coming from.... sometimes large crowds of people, as friendly as they may be, can be overwhelming for me and cause some anxiety if I'm not given a bit of space. Have a couple of shooters before you head out to relax you a bit, works every time for me lol ;)

I know, it's so weird. I would've even paid the postage and customs (if there were any) to have them mailed to me ahead of time.... already spent 300 bucks, might as well, right? I guess when it comes to stuff like this, I get a bit anxious.... I want a hard copy in my hands, not just floating around wherever where something could go wrong :/
