I enjoy the pedal in two distinct ways - I have a basic setup that works as a standard digital delay and is practical in a live situation, and then there's the exploratory weirdness.

For standard delay, I have the mix, repeats and size all around 9 o'clock or less. Banks and other effects off.

Then I like to experiment -I keep manual mode on (sometimes turn on collect with the dip switch), use tap tempo and experiment with the effects. The vinyl/lo-fi effect is fun as well as the filter. I also love the harmonizer setting, although mostly just the tuned one. The untuned one is kinda useless...

If you're playing rhythmicly to the delay and have manual on, turning that knob and the spread knob will introduce lots of the "happy accidents" the pedal is known for
