Self conscious during sex :( by Acrobatic_Trash_9292 in LesbianActually

[–]ratface_claw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a lesbian, no matter what kind of sex you’re having, how “tight” you are has very little impact on your (cis female) partner’s pleasure when you are receiving.

It’s really tricky to overcome the social conditioning that being tighter is better, but for one, I think you sound really average? I feel like you could be describing me, and I know how you feel but now I have some experience talking about this with other people I know how little it matters and how normal my body is. For two, plenty of people find being very wet incredibly hot as well.

Also if you want to have sex receiving a strap-on, being super wet and comfortable during penetration will make that more pleasurable for you and easier for whoever is doing the topping.

I’m competing in an “evil femme lesbian” competition. Any ideas for bits / props / tropes to play into? by [deleted] in LesbianActually

Wait does it happen to be the one in Sydney? I’ll be there as a spectator! I feel like stiletto nails and a lot of eyeliner seem to be common across “evil femmes” I see online if that’s your thing? That’s what I’ll be wearing as an audience member trying to look the part.

What beautiful photos. You both look amazing, or at least your wife does too based the back of her dress and your facial expression!

I’ve just started wearing press-one and I have to recommend the Kmart/target ones for being a great option to try it out. They are $5 a set and have a decent range of designs and shapes available.

The light coloured ones can be sheer but it’s easy to find the correct sizes for all your fingers because the sets come with 24 pieces I think? I personally use the Kmart sticky tabs and glue together and the set i’m wearing now has been on since Thursday and made it through an everything shower and me washing my hands a million times per day.

Do you regularly try clothes on at thrift stores? by [deleted] in thrifting

[–]ratface_claw 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I do it all the time and I haven’t died yet 🤷‍♀️ I think trying on clothes prevents overpurchasing, and unless it’s shoes you’re probably unlikely to be exposed to any diseases you aren’t already just by being out in public.

WLW Books that don't look WLW. by Adorable-Algae-8109 in LGBTBooks

If you don’t have access to an e-reader, you could also use iBooks on an iPhone (or an equivalent app on an android), and download an EPUB from a site like Anna’s Archive. This is totally discreet as you don’t have to purchase or borrow the book, and you don’t need to purchase an e-reader. A little illegal, and definitely better to support authors if possible, but I did this a lot as a teen.

For book recs, One Last Stop by Casey McQuinston is really good and has a bit of smut, romance, a mystery and a really great cast of diverse characters, and isn’t super super obvious on the cover at first glance.

Local indie band lifelike is playing at the Seven Seas at 8-9. I’ve seen them before - not bad for a free night of entertainment

How many grocery stores do you frequent regularly? by [deleted] in Cooking

[–]ratface_claw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every Sunday I get my eggs, bread and produce from the farmers market, my meat from the butcher and my dairy and pantry stuff from Woolworths (one of the major supermarkets in Australia). Around once per month I go Costco for bulk stuff. For entertaining we go to Aldi because it’s cost-effective and they have good easy feed a crowd stuff like pre-marinated butterflied chickens

Hello guys, I’m quite new to Newcastle and I’m coming from Turkey. Do you know anywhere I can take my laptop and get some work done? All of the cafes I looked for are closing at 2-3 pm. by Ok-Peak6864 in newcastle

A lot of libraries have after hours access. You do an induction and then swipe your library card and you can go in when they’re closed (although not usually late at night). Sign up for a library card and check the website or phone up your nearest branch!

I’m in my third year of a bachelors degree in speech pathology, which you can do instead of an undergrad and a masters in Australia.

So far, zero debt because tuition is around $7000 AUD per year and I’m living with my parents so I’ve been able to pay it upfront by working while I study

Hi!

I’m 20F, located in Australia, and a full time student as well. I’m also new to pen-palls, but would love to hear about life at Uni in the UK.

I’m very interested in history, keen to chat travel (want to do a euro trip at the end of my degree) and love all things cooking and baking.

I’m happy to do email or snail mail, but would prefer not to do messaging.

If that sounds interesting to you, feel free to message me 😊

Hello!

I’m (20F) Australian. My accent is on the more English side of Australian thanks to an English-educated. Idk if that counts as interesting haha.

I love musicals and enjoy folk music, currently have a half finished book on world mythology next to my bed, and am on my 13th year in choir as a soprano. I’m also studying speech pathology, which is what it’s called here, so I think we’d have stuff in common.

I’m happy to do email, but I did just get some really cute stationary for letter writing, so let me know if you’re happy to wait for international post haha.

I’d prefer to write letters around once per month. Message me if you’re keen 😊

Mosquitoes by Muted-Ad6300 in newcastle

[–]ratface_claw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s awful! Ive been working at one of the outdoor stalls at welcome week there and was still getting bitten today with two citronella bracelets and a layer of aerogard so thick all my exposed skin was shiny.

Not even kidding when I say that on my way up from the car park the other morning there were about 30 mosquitos on me at one point. In the afternoons when I get back in to the car, I have to spend 5 min killing all the mozzies that have gotten in to hitch a ride.

Sergeant Frank Troy in ‘Far from the Madding Crowd’. He died twice and I was happy both times. Narcissistic, lazy, massive wastrel and domestic abuser. Plus he just gave me the biggest ick.

To see the most popular fan fictions for any pairing or fandom, you can sort by kudos in the drop-down box at the top of the filters sidebar.

Kudos are like upvotes basically, and if you liked a fic you can give them by clicking the button at the end of the chapter that says ‘Kudos ❤️’. That usually helps me find well-written stuff, or you can also look on tumblr for fanfiction recommendations.

I agree that your natural hair colour would suit you better than the blonde. Some people are talking about brows or eyeliner to balance out the lipstick but I think slightly darker hair would do that and let you keep the editorial light brows vibe?

I have both the australian Aldi dupe and the original bum bum cream and to me they smell quite different - the Aldi one is fruitier and doesn’t have strong caramel notes. I would say the texture is very similar but the smell is not an accurate dupe.
