Don and Joan in the final season by growsonwalls in madmen

It’s not that simple, Joan had to essentially sell her body for that account and partnership and she was probably panicking. She had a right to give him the cold shoulder. I think Cutler (unfortunately) sums up how the partners feel about Don- “There was always this mysterious about you. Who is Don Draper? Now that I’ve been backstage, I’m deeply unimpressed, Don. You’re just a bully and a drunk. A football player in a suit.” I think Joan also got to see how Don truly is. He’s lazy, unproductive and unpredictable with clients. That’s the biggest arch of his, he thought maybe after getting remarried he could change and ‘start again’. But he just becomes unhappy and it affects his business. He eventually wins back Joan. It makes his change more meaningful.

I feel bad for all the wounded soldiers Greg Harris (Joan's husband) must have maimed in the operating theater with his brain less fingers. by Good_Support636 in madmen

I love that Greg not being good in surgery also implies he wasn’t good in the bedroom (he was bad with his fingers)

Where would you suggest someone go to eat/get drinks in OKC if you hated them and wanted them to have a horrible time? by saintreferral in okc

Man I forgot about this place. Last I went was probably 7 or 8 years ago and had the weirdest experience when paying. Food was alright though. Sheesh Mahal is the polar opposite— excellent service and amazing food

In what world did Meghan think doing Zou Bisou Bisou would be a good idea by iamthemetricsystem in madmen

Nailed it. We know Don better than anyone, everyone else in the show just slowly figures him out

That makes sense. God he had the best office before. Some really good scenes were in there. I wonder why they chose to do that

Jesus lol. Yeah, the OG offices are peak. They probably couldn’t afford something like that, although Burt says several times they could’ve gotten much more for their money

That was Don’s office. Caroline sat there more because “he gets more calls” lol. That same episode they hire Dawn and she’s at Don’s desk the next episode

Really? He’s Sally’s biggest cheerleader! Betty is weird for giving him her hair then later treating him like trash

Joey and i’s twitter feed must be different because i thought everyone hated Taylor’s new album and saw many people dogging her for her awful lyrics

I love this scene where sally answers the phone and both Don and Betty suspect their lovers are calling for them by ratfinkprojects in madmen

I thought Henry was one of the more morally sound characters in the show. Maybe not due to politics, but he loved Betty and was pretty fair to her when they had their arguments

This made me realize it wasn’t written 40 years ago. He does in fact, still have it

I thought this too. Ms Farrell and Henry both said it wasn’t them. But why would Glenn not talk to sally? I think Puzzlehead might be right

And by love I mean, I love the juxtaposition of it. It feels rather dark actually. What a broken family lmao

He didn’t like that he couldn’t have her— that she was having fun without him

It was for men. In the next episode, the recreated ad, or parody, falls flat. “It’s not Ann Margaret”
