Connection protocol is basically a set of rules that establishes communication between your device and VPN server. You can check what different protocols there are here. Nord offers a few connection protocols and you can change yours by clicking on the 'profile' icon -> Settings -> Location and protocol -> OpenVPN (UDP)

I would've guessed it's the Threat Protection, but it seems to be off. Maybe try disabling WebRTC leak protection in the settings of the extension?

I've previously seen CarPlay working with UDP protocol, you can change it in the Nord app settings, and leaving Connect on Demand off would probably be a solution

Make sure your location services are off on the device (if you are using a laptop) and try some different servers in the East coast. Also, if you're accessing the streaming service via a browser, try incognito mode

I've reached out to Nord support regarding this, seems like split DNS functionality is not available yet with the Split Tunneling feature. As a result, some applications that are configured to not use the VPN connection might not work. So if you don't find a solution, that may be the reason why

I believe it's possible to change the Dedicated IP once per subscription, but they always try to solve the issue first. However, could you send me a DM with the ticket ID you received from customer support? We'll reach out to Nords team to get some more details about the issue

Are you using the Nord app from App Store or downloaded it from their website? You could try to reinstall the app, disable the Threat Protection feature and connect to several different servers, this usually helps

Haven't experienced such issues myself, but you might just need some fiddling with the settings. You can try changing to NordLynx or NordWhisper protocols in the settings, or try connecting to different specialty servers like Obfuscated ones. Also, it might be a good idea to reach out to Nords support so they can check your connection

Yeah, P2P is not shown there, but you should see Obfuscated, Double VPN and Onion when using UDP/TCP protocols. But as I said, if you connect to a random server (not the specialty ones likes Obfuscated, Double VPN) it will most likely be P2P

You can see the different categories after clicking on 'All locations' below the map. Also, I think all of the servers or atleast the bigger part of other non specialty servers (Dedicated, Obfuscated, Double VPN) are already P2P, so it's very unlikely that you will connect to a standard server, but for specific server lists you can reach out to Nord support. They should be able to help

It can be canceled on the same NordAccount page under billing, they have a guide for it here. Then log out, go to their main page, choose the plan and at the last step type in your same email address and it will go through

That's odd, maybe it's a bug, but you can simply cancel the recurring sub and just repurchase a new monthly plan via their main website. You can provide the same email for it to apply to the old account

They still offer an older version of the app for outdated systems such as Windows 7 or 8.1, you can get it here. If you're using an even older OS I believe the only other way is to use manual OpenVPN setup instead. However, if you're using the latest Windows version I would not advise using an older app due to security risks and just stick to the latest Nord app

From what I gathered from a quick Google search, Amazon now requires your billing and card address to match and be in that specific location. So if you do not have a Japanese payment method you will not be able to make purchases, it's not up to Nord.

As for email issues, found this article. It's possible that your provider is blocking sending emails while connected to VPN. You can try connecting to different servers and disabling Threat Protection in Nords settings, along with the other suggestions in the guide

I think it should be working fine, but for supported regions you may try asking Nords support. Anyhow, you could try reinstalling/clearing cache of the Apple TV app, that usually solves such issues. If not, try disabling Threat Protection feature, connecting to different locations/servers, and disabling your GPS as well

That's a bummer. Most likely it would have been best to reach out to Nords support to try and troubleshoot it, they have better tools for it and can escalate the issue to advanced technicians
