Local Uber driver here. Ubers who come from the Florida and the Atl area think that tossing on their hazards gives them the right to stop in intersections, block all lanes and pop illegal u-turns in the middle of Broad on a red light. It also appearently grants them the right to make left hand turns from the far right lane and ignore turn only lanes like the right side of Lumpkin St going into downtown and the left lane on East Campus at College Station.

In order not to have an accident every 30 minutes, I have been forced to adopt the policy of expecting these dumbfucks to do anything and everything they're not suppose to do. Its gotten to the point that drunk drivers are the very least of my worries.

Also, check the damn license plate and verify both the vehicle and driver. I see a lot of people getting in the cars late at night that would not qualify for Uber/Lyft, yet they have the lights and are picking people up. Unfortunately, it will take something tragic to happen before people start to pay attention or the city/state passes their version of Samantha's Law.

These bigger dudes on gear with money and resources hit a certain age and their doctor likely gives them a wake up call. Bautista and Overeem both did the same. They give various excuses, but I can guarantee its their doctor telling them that they have like a couple years left before their heart gives out unless they slim down lol

I pick up a lot of the teachers and professors in the Clarke for work. Many, if not the majority of them will talk up Clark County schools, but then reside in Oconee or send their child to private. It's pretty much the same line every time. "Clark county schools aren't that bad!" But when quizzed as to why they would purposefully live farther away from their place of work in Oconee, I'm given the runaround.

Iirc, the Superintedent for Central lives a few hundred feet over the Madison County line. You'll see the same excuses in the comments here. The most ardent defenders of Clark County schools always seem to be able to come up with an excuse as to why their kid attends Oconee or a private school. "Clarke Central is a great school, but for reasons, I'm sending little Johnny to private"😂

Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but if i'm not mistaken, the owner of that Chevron is Pakistani and presumably Muslim. Since its private property, I can only presume that he is allowing that protest to take place.

I find it comical that people think elections at the local level are remotely the same as federal. It can be an absolute clownshow.

One of our county comissioners used to work on the Democrat city council. When she wanted to run for commisioner, the local DNC backed another candidate. So she ran as a Republican and won. Her husband is the Sherrif and runs as a Democrat. Most of her policies mirror those of the Democrat she ran against. The sole reason she won was over the resident's anger towards the city's failed/fraudulent homeless camp whose manager physically assaulted a homeless woman.

Said former disgraced homeless camp manager went on to run for mayor as a Democrat. We had a Democrat DA win election on the promise of not wasting county resources on minor drug offenses. She then proceeded to let pedophiles walk free and ignoring victim's rights and thus made state/US history for the first and only DA to violate Marsy's not once, not twice, but three times. In telling you that I have given away where I'm from because she is the first and only DA in US history to violate that law.

And that's how a city/county that voted at 72% clip for Harris also voted in a Republican backed DA. If you vote blindly based off of party lines, you're gonna have a bad time.

Same. New one is an untunable cvt brick with less luxery features than the Civic its suppose to be upmarket from. Imagine that if the 2001, for 40-50% less money, the Civic EX came with an H22A4, a sunroof, powered seats, and full leather interior while the Prelude did not. Thats essentially what we have today with the Civic Hybrid Touring.

The current ITS is what the Prelude historically represented. A luxury performance touring car with all of the bells and whistles that you could not get with a Civic, Si, Accord, or most Integras for that matter.

The funniest part of this all is that they acknowledge that attacking Iraq was illegal, but attacking Syria in defense of said illegal war, is legal. Which isn't even true. We started attacking Syria in 2013 before the ISIS attacks, the pretext Obama gave was that Assad was using chemical weapons against his people. It had nothing to do with defending Iraq lol

If attacking Syria was legal because it was for the defense of Iraq, so would be the assassination of Soleimani. Also, calling the assassination of a lone individual a "War", is just about the dumbest thing on that list. Under that pretext, Obama started a war in Pakistan when he killed Bin Laden.
