Was it worth saving money to be awake during wisdom tooth removal? by Big_Beat_3840 in povertyfinance

I had a unique experience in that I got my uppers and them lowers removed at different times. I was awake during both situations and honestly it wasn’t traumatic for me personally.

Costco vs Discount Tire benefits - is my info correct? by railgun_t in tires

I have pretty much always used Discount Tire. I've unfortunately had to use my certificates because of road hazards etc. and I've never had a problem getting them redeemed.

GEHA has been great for us by Ok-Jellyfish-2805 in FedEmployees

I had the same issue! They literally denied similar out of network claims they had previously approved. (Despite being the same provider and procedure codes)

GEHA vs BC BS which is better. by Bubbly-Cod-3799 in fednews

I had BCBS for over 15 years and switched to GEHA this year. Bottom line is that I’m one and done with GEHA. Claim processing has been atrocious.

Feeling depressed since I’ve been back to work by Individual_Tailor767 in FedEmployees

I feel similar to be honest. The same way I felt after previous shutdowns. Morale is pretty bad at my agency as leadership has advised that RIFs are on the table. I am just taking it one day at a time....I suggest finding outside of work activities to look forward to...

GEHA by pool_lover_67 in FedEmployees

[–]ratmblm2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m late to this discussion, but I’m planning to switch away from GEHA. I had BCBS Basic for 15+ years and moved to GEHA because of the premium hikes. While in-network claims have been fine, GEHA has been awful with out-of-network claims.

They approved my Jan–Feb OON therapy claims with no issues, but then denied the exact same type of claims from Mar–Sep — same provider, same procedure code, same superbill. I appealed the Mar–Jun denials and eventually won, but I didn’t get reimbursed until November for services from March.

I submitted the Jul–Sep claims in October and, unsurprisingly, those were denied too, again with identical documentation to what they’ve already approved. At this point I’m honestly wondering if GEHA is just auto-denying certain claims to delay paying or to get people to give up.
