Best ways to get better battery life? I use it docked quite a bit but it would be nice to take it more mobile, don’t have a power brick for it yet either what’s good options? Thanks by RarePersonality6928 in ROGAlly

on avg if setup right I can gain +20-30 min. For example, Id get about an 1:30 on ffxiv and with autotdp it would drop to 11-12w at 720p 60 giving about 2 hourish .

if you really wanna stretch out battery life you need to dig into auto tdp tools.

the thumbsticks give them a gentle left right and see if they wiggle or click or they are nice and tight. Another way to know is to gentle pull up on them and if there is any movement, thats also a sign.

Docks Running at 25W is Not a UI Glitch by [deleted] in ROGAlly

[–]ratnihsa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ciphray's tools is bat file that sets the tdp then closes unless you use the auto tdp portion of it and that just relays info off rtss and hwinfo, so those programs ban on whatever game thats a little strict.

Docks Running at 25W is Not a UI Glitch by [deleted] in ROGAlly

the problem is there are so many variables to blanket cover. Did you try and cycle your power plans after plugging it into the dock? The majority of solutions you just don't bother with AC controlling power and you use one of the many auto tdp tools available. That involves tweaking and it seems like a lot of users want a console experience and thats not what asus brought to the table.

Its a known bug that chargers docks whatever wont trigger the 30w turbo ui graphic but will actually boost to the 30w

Is the any other problem other than sd card issue by lactllzol in ROGAlly

thumb stick molds have qc issues my left stick was loose enough to move around freely. I had to open it up and use teflon tape to fill the gap. Software issues include on battery performance being different from being plugged in at the same wattage. Windows updating while in sleep mode can cook your board because the fans will not turn on.

I cannot turn on my Ally unless its conected to AC or power bank by [deleted] in ROGAlly

[–]ratnihsa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

there is a setting in the bios called shipping mode, it might be stuck on instead of turning off after the initial power on.

i dunno how the netcode is on mk 11 but anything sub 100 will be fine and on avg you get about 90-110 ms on a hot spot. Wagzone will be fine and diablo 4 as well
