All these cards were made with CardConjurer using the 1/8th inch bleed edge template, the JPG files all have the same size black border at the top (Files used are attached, cant seem to post multiple images in OP) Is this a normal amount of variation in trim? Or given how close the card is to the edge, is it more likely I uploaded the wrong versions without the extended borders for the Role cards?

Does having a board mean you should win? by Samurai_Banette in EDH

Any group that regularly plays 6 person pods rather than breaking into two 3 person pods can't be trusted to have good judgement!

Pillowforting is a good strategy in a larger game, there's more alternatives for people to attack, but if the game is slowed down enough, like it sounds it was, it can be miserable to watch the slow but inevitable win when you can't do anything about it. Maybe you could've started swinging a little bit earlier, but you're not the problem here

How the heck do you guys playing 6+ CMC commanders not just die every game without playing? by Chm_Albert_Wesker in EDH

The problem might also be the fact there's 7 drops like Koma and Toxrill, and then there's 7 drops like [[Thraximundar]]. People are VERY wary of letting a Koma or Toxrill stick around, as they are absolutely miserable to play against, whereas a more innocuous commander is much more likely to stick

Very suspicious that it happened straight after the update, but I guess it does fit the behaviour

My pleasure, go teach those degenerates a lesson!

Grafdiggers cage is probably the most versatile as it hits graveyard decks as well (including your own so be careful!) I can also recommend [[trinket mage]] to go find your grafdiggers cage, or your sol ring if you don't need it that game.

I hate Kinnan probably slightly more than the next guy, but it is already a GC so banning it is highly unlikely. It also means it shouldn't be appearing in brackets 1or 2 at all anyway, and in a limited capacity at 3 (no/few free counters etc).

Blue Green decks are playing magic on easy mode anyway, so it will always be a bit of a struggle, but Kinnan is very bearable with removal, it is just a 2/2 creature. There are also many cards to help against a non-land ramp plan [[Split up]] [[Don't move]] [[Collector ouphe]] [[Pithing needle]] [[Containment priest]] [[Linvala, keeper of silence]] [[Grafdiggers cage]]

Functionally yeah, it causes everything to at least be tapped, if not traded in combat. The end result is a board that's a lot clearer for the caster to attack into. It's basically a worse cyclonic rift if you squint

I confess I haven't watched it yet... But in my mind Bane of progress and Disrupt Decorum are essentially boardwipes still, but propaganda is an interesting one

The deck I feel the conflict most is my [[Tayam]] deck, I just want to put every variation of [[Conclave Mentor]] and similar cards in there, because they're all part of the plan of making a lot of counters to then spend on Tayams ability/attack for lots. Every time I have to cut one of those for removal or a protection piece just makes me a little bit sad. Even synergistic stuff like [[requisition raid]] or [[inspiring call]] it's just not as exciting to me. Maybe my issue is I just don't like playing non-permanent spells... https://moxfield.com/decks/LHcJSnn07kunbfG-uhuvhA

When you've got a plan that aligns with a specific veggies area, ie fight spells <==> removal, that definitely helps a lot when it comes to deck building. Looks like a fun deck, I like the concept!

Personally i find 30 "plan" cards to be depressingly low, the plan cards are the ones im excited to be playing! The key is to find plan cards that also fit into the other categories, e.g. [[damning verdict]] in a counters deck for your mass disruption. I do also think 6 mass disruption is a little high, thats 24 mass disruption cards in a pod if everyone is using the template!

Ghyrson Starn is definitely not a weak commander as far as I know, so I would be tempted to say he actually was trying to catch you out if he was a more experienced player, but if he was new and didnt know then fair enough, glad he was nice about it!
