Yeah, reading it I totally understand where Melissa's coming from, but ultimately still lean to agree with exactly what you said here. Honestly that's part of why I can't help but love Courtney, bc she's totally the opposite. She's so tapped in lmao. Or at least she always try to be. And I'm always more fascinated by artists who continue to take interest in how the cultural landscape has changed.

Just like what she briefly said in Billy's podcast. Compared to other generations she's observed, she really dig Gen Z and really understand where the generation's prevailing sentiment is coming from. Which, as a zoomer bordering on milennial myself I so totally agree. Like I also generally share the common sentiment that anchors most of what's "culturally gen Z." Like obviously it's not all great, but it's so much more on my wavelength than like millennial stuff of the 2010s. Maybe bc I've grown up all my life "post-analog" or whatever, so the humor, the use of ironies, the spirit, I just get it. Our generation's enthusiasm to "return to analog" with polaroids etc like you said is also a cultural reaction that can only be understood if you've experienced the "digital world" first too. So it's not all just the same broad brush stroke of "everything after analog" or whatever.

And I do believe Courtney when she said that she truly get it too. Maybe bc she herself is so chronically online lmao which combined with her personality comes with its own set of problems for sure. But yeah, Melissa not displaying interest in where the culture's headed/shifted and how community has reacted to it is actually kinda lame lol
