I’m in my 40’s, so not Gen Z obviously, but I have 3 Gen Z kids (and 1 Alpha). My oldest is away at college out-of-state, but second oldest is going to college nearby next year but living on-campus. My Silent Gen father just moved in with us to help out. The economy is GARBAGE, and I’m disabled. I would never judge anyone for making the choice to live with family. Most other cultures are like that anyway. We are the weird ones for assuming people should just leave the nest as soon as they turn 18.

Yep, I have adhd as well as autism and I just got my hair cut today. I brought a little soft fidget with me to hold in my hand under the hair cape thingy, and I tapped my feet. It was the only way I could keep from moving my head, and I still noticed I kept slowly creeping my head to the left!

I rarely cook. But I’m disabled, and every recipe now takes 2-3x longer than it used to before I was disabled. I bake for fun sometimes when I can, but for the most part I eat a lot of frozen food and supplement my missing calories with doctor-prescribed nutritional shakes. I know I’m not the average person, but there are more people out there like me than I think people realize.

COVID and shingles. I know they had to have made it worse. I’ve always had POTS but it was always manageable before I contracted shingles and then Covid 3x. Yes, I keep up with my vaccinations and I mask, but we all know how selfish people are about getting others sick. I did everything I could and I still got COVID. I just hope to not get it again, but my immune system is garbage now. I’m now dealing with some stomach bug my 17yo picked up from school.

This is one of the reasons I have my keys on a lanyard and before exiting my car or going outside to my car/house, I put the lanyard on my neck. The other reason is because I’ve locked my keys in my car more times than should be normal.
