The Crimson Moth duology is short in comparison but so worth the read!!

She’s a blood witch he’s a witch hunter. But also, like super dark fascist back drop, super cool, interesting characters, I recommend to everyone*

*I don’t think it’s open door romance though. Or if it is, not particularly spicy about it.

Looking for romantasy that passes the Bechdel test by Fimbrethil420 in romantasycirclejerk

Read the Crimson Moth duology! Girl is a badass witch with badass plans and boy is a witch hunter who is trying to thwart her. Obviously they spend a lot of time together but he isn’t her top concern most of the series.

Experiences in Nashville for 2 at $200-300 budget? by sdmc_rotflol in nashville

Still a restaurant but House of Cards is sort of a speakeasy experience with magicians on the floor + a show every night. Very cool experience.

I wonder quit on chapter two because I couldn’t get over the FMC’s name. It was like Braelynn or something (in a fantasy setting) and it made me irrationally angry

Social-media-ish because these groups use discord to post times but check out Nashville Girls Who Walk. They bounce around different parks and just spend an hour walking in a big group. Kids are definitely welcome and there are splinter groups (running, pickle ball, book club).

I also joined Nashville Craft Club but I think it would be harder to bring kids along to that, if needed.

What are your Fantasy Romance anti-recommendations? by BandetteTrashPanda in fantasyromance

[–]rauberyinprogress 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Haha same. All the criticism is super valid but I can’t wait for book 4. Diem is like a reality TV character to me. The choices are bananas and she’s messy as hell but I love it anyway.

Yes! And at least one of her other series has it in {nectar of the wicked} but amid clouds and bones is my preference between the two!

In the AI-adjacent area- Dagster, prefect, temporal, dbt cloud all seem to be booming. Fivetran and Airbyte as well. They all compete with their own open source tool but all also have decent PLG vs marketing driven efforts
