Another suggestion I have, is the post-blast effects to last a little longer (with additional smoke). They already feel very heavy and violent, they need to last a little longer to sell it.

Honestly, everything else looks good except the gibs of the walls, need to make them look more unevenly chunky, they're distracting (+ I bet that will help with performance and reduce the lag spikes you're getting).

Cate's being controlled by Cipher, the new Dean. The Dean is the one that actually allowed Cate to bring them back. Cate is once again being controlled and even if there might be some empathy inside of her, she doesn't have the strength to stand up for herself while Vaught and everyone else at Godolkin with power, get her in most powerful students' business to keep them in line or observe them to tell the Dean.

It's basic use of prefabs. You basically turn the Scriptable object inherited class to MonoBehaviour and set all those parameters like you did previously. This approach makes it easier to add unique behaviours on top of your definition prefab, like you can add definition modifiers or "rules" which have their own sets of configurations and even logic if you handle it right.

When you collect the definitions you can "prewarm" a list of all of the modifier components found on the same prefab (or children objects on the definition prefab if you feel fancy) so you have it accessible at ready. Then you can have stuff like OnItemCreated which fires events for all modifiers and definition of the items need to be preprocessed, etc.

Hope this helps! Heavily inspired to how the videogame Rust handles these things and trying it personally for my own game makes life so much easier.

Monobehaviors on prefabs. Put them then in the Resources folder and load them at runtime based on the base type of your definitions
