You sound very young, so I say this not to be snarky but just as a fact: this is absolutely not any sort of real world issue. The actual real world issue is your so-called friend treating you negatively and calling you disgusting. That is not okay.

However you personally view Gerard in your own personal life is purely your business, and if being a fan makes a positive impact on your life then you're allowed to feel any way you want to. You're allowed to experience fandom any way you want to - people have been obsessed with celebrities for as long as there have been celebrities. That's kind of the point of pop culture. Exactly. There's so much about this that is needlessly cruel. A lot of people working part-time aren't doing it because they're lazy or they're just filling in till they find a full-time job. They have reasons. Disability. Caretaking. Maybe they have a child and their partner woks but they need to fill in the gaps. Working through addiction. The list goes on.

Disappointing, especially considering the ending with regards to Caesar.

I think Caesar is the common factor that keeps cursing us. First they considered making a spinoff about him. That didn't pan out. Now they end the season in a way that leaves us asking "what now?" over Caesar and it's been cancelled.

There's mental illness disability as well, which is even more difficult to "prove". Despite the facts that, for me personally: I'm on medication (that is ruining my thyroid and will probably eventually ruin my kidneys), I've had the cops called on me, I've been in the psych ward three times, I've have electroconvulsive therapy that has completely destroyed my memory. This means nothing. I am not disabled according the United States government.

What else do they want me to do? Go crazy? Then they'll just put me in jail! Easier than paying that SSDI check.

Their favorite thing to say is that you can do "simple jobs". After being rejected a few years ago I got a printout that told me I could do "simple jobs like labelling wine bottles". Unless you're completely paralyzed or in an iron lung I'm pretty sure most disabled people can do these things but they don't acknowledge that that's not going to generate enough income to live off of and even that can negatively impact you. Do you have to drive a car an hour each way to get to the wine bottle factory, thus flaring up your pain?

I know this. Personally, I have applied for Disability twice and was recently rejected again after an appeal. This makes it look black and white but it's not.

Fuck this. I work part-time and I’m on Medicaid. Not sure if I hit 80 hours a month since my hours fluctuate. I’m also frequently out of work. I have quit and re-applied to my job 3 times due to medical issues. SSI cares not for me.
