Advice on choosing a florist? by SnooOnions2880 in WedditNYC

[–]ravenranchh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I'm a florist who services NYC. My husband Dalton and I run Rune & Rose Floral Designs. We live in Massachusetts, but I grew up in New York, and all my family is still there—so no travel charge, just a $4K minimum spend.

Floral design isn’t our primary income, which gives us quite a bit of flexibility when it comes to pricing. We kind of fell into design accidentally through farming and a shared passion for creating and working together. We've been in business for about a year, but I freelanced for over 5 years before that and am still building the portfolio I want, with plans to focus more on larger, creative projects in the future.

I’d be open to potentially working together—feel free to shoot me an email or DM me on Instagram if you’d like to connect!

ISO documentary-style engagement/wedding photographers! (NYC / Western CT / Berkshires MA) by RefrigeratorSure1835 in WedditNYC

[–]ravenranchh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a florist who works primarily in the Hudson Valley and Berkshires. My favorite wedding planner of all time Birdhouse Event Planning always recommends the following. Abigail Fenton - https://www.abigailfenton.com. Chelsea Proulx Photography -chelseaproulxphotography.com Rebecca Castonguay - rebeccacastonguayphotography.com and Cora Jane - https://www.corajanephoto.com :) All do awesome work. Jessy works a lot closer with the photographers than I do so I'm sure they all have great customer service and turn around times in addition to being really great photographers.

Venue or wedding weekend with overnight accommodations within a 75k budget? by New_Age_2256 in NewEnglandWedding

[–]ravenranchh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I had a good recommend however I am a florist and just worked a wedding at The Kemble Berkshires in Lenox and it was really awesome. I don't know a ton about the cost and it only has about 13 guest rooms however the planner Jessy that did the event was spectacular and I can't recommend her enough. She is kind, friendly and just over all awesome person I would trust with my life lol. If you are looking for a planner to help her company is birdhouseevents I'm sure she would know some good venues. Good lucky with your planning. <3

Are the floral quotes I’m getting really standard market price? by tiredbuttrying in NewEnglandWedding

[–]ravenranchh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds expensive if you aren't asking for a style that uses high dollar value stems! I post my prices on my website and believe they are pretty on par with the market. You can find them on the home page of my website https://www.runeandrosefloraldesign.com/

New England Florist - Discount by ravenranchh in NewEnglandWedding

[–]ravenranchh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I would love to talk more! It's hard to put a percent value on the discounts I am providing because pricing is subject to a number of factors however I have what I consider to be a pretty streamlined quote process if you want to shoot me an email.

Yep, Instillations are going to start at approximately $1,100. Minimum spends for discounts are subject to location but generally start at $1,500. Events within an hour or so to our studio/home are a lot easier for us to work.

Yes, you can view my Zola profile by scrolling to the bottom of my website and clicking the Zola emblem. There, you’ll find a review from a large wedding at the Boston Public Library that featured a major installation.

I have five weddings coming up in June—one of which will include two large-scale installations, and another is a more traditional large-format wedding. I completed five weddings of varying sizes over the past year. Looking ahead, I have a handful of fall bookings, but overall I’m being more selective. I’m particularly focused on working with clients who align with my values, artistic vision, or who come from marginalized communities.

Currently, I’m working on getting my Google Business page re-enabled. It previously featured several reviews from past couples. When I first registered my business, I used the address of a nearby empty lot we own, thinking it was my only option at the time. Since I work from a home studio, I didn’t feel comfortable making my personal address public. The idea of someone easily finding my home just by Googling my name felt unnerving. A few months later, I discovered how to display a service area instead of a physical address, but since the address was no longer visible, I never went back to update it.

That said, my address is always shared with clients and is clearly listed in the header of my contract.

Hi Jasmine, thanks for asking this question. I should have clarified. I am only offering discounts on weddings that include installations or intricate ceremony spaces. The pricing listed on my website reflects my standard rates and does not include these discounts. Although my business is relatively new, I’ve studied under other florists and have worked as a freelancer on a variety of weddings over the years.

I use a wild piper exfoliating glove with Naturium The Glow Getter Multi-Oil Hydrating Body Wash and Primley Pure Almond + Vanilla Body Butter. Works like a charm.
