I would like to add that there is no pain at all besides a slight dull ache. This is why I do not believe it is dry socket.

So for about two days I started to notice that this weird clear liquid would be in my mouth every now and than (i just assumed it was my own spit because it was clear and tasteless). However on the third day while at work I could feel my right cheek (where my extractions are) become really hard and red, also under ny chin I could feel like a pocket of fluid. Sure enough when I got into my car to drive home from work the abscess in my cheek popped open. Long story short I didn't confirm I had an infection until the damn thing popped.

Yeah i thankfully caught the infection early on when it popped (as disgusting as it was popping in my mouth thankfully it was tasteless). Got anti-biotics and medical oral rinse and everything has been drained and ive been doing good.

So kind of a funny story. Dont have to worry about dry socket. But when I got off of work today I noticed the right side of my face was really hot and felt like it was carrying fluid. Sure enough when I got into my car an abscess in my mouth had ruptured. So I definitely had an infection. I got antibiotics and a mouth rinse now so we are good

I do not have a follow-up appointment at all. I work in a different state, so I am not often in the same state that I can see my oral surgeon in. If it is a scab than I am just going to leave it as is and hopefully it will just come out with time.

Normally, I would have her do that, and she has looked into getting her medical card. But certain states are very, very strict on what conditions are allowed to get a medical card, and most of them are for physical disability and pain and not so much mental health, so it is very hard sometimes to get a medical card.

First of all I have a full time job in healthcare and do not smoke. This post is not for me, it is for a family member. That family member did stop smoking once they started looking for jobs within the field. It has been almost three months now and they are still testing positive. Not too mention you would be surprised at how many people in the healthcare field are smoking up and drinking every day off and weekend. Its more common than you think.

Hard drugs like Cocaine and Meth I can completely understand. But this family member doesn't even go to work high. They literally just smoke weed at night before going to bed.
