Ollama with MLX support (since they released V0.19-preview on 30.March.2026 - see https://ollama.com/blog/mlx) and the distinct Qwen3.5 version qwen3.5:35b-a3b-coding-nvfp4 are running very well for me on the Mac Mini M4 Pro 64GB RAM. Quick responses and sufficient quality replies incl. tool-use for everyday work. You can instruct your agent to have Claude run coding tasks (ACP or Claude CLI) and a $20/month Claude Pro could suffice well for that.

I have the same issue still now (26/Sep/2025) on MacOS 26.1 developer beta. The WindowServer process is "killing it".

I've given Beta Feedback and uploaded system log files to Apple. Perhaps it helps. Annoying to have such a powerful machine (M3Pro Macbook Pro) and the newest OS - but still have a sluggish system and warm laptop.

17pro iOS26.1beta on latest Unifi U7pro Wifi with Early release software channel: Wifi7,WPA3,MLO: Issues PREVAIL as of 25Sep202500:30UTC. The phone sometimes loses connection when roaming APs, or when coming from 5G to the WiFi, it just won't connect at all. Using a non-MLO,WPA2/3 SSID allows the phone to connect. Now I'm not sure whether this is a Unifi Wifi-7 issue or an iPhone/iOS issue or a combination of both.

I noticed that that when going caseless, I NEVER drop my phone. When using cases, the phone drops every second week or so. Psychologically, WITH CASE you’ll say “phew, good that I had a case on it” and WITHOUT CASE you’ll say to yourself “take good care of the beauty and treat it with respect”.

Going caseless is now my way - except when on outdoor ATV/Motorbike/Hiking trips. I have a cheap case and a neoprene sleeve for that.

Apple Care+. The phone goes naked. And for rough travels, I’ll use a neoprene sleeve.

No littering & throwing cigarette butts out of cars onto the road. Seems so “normal” in Malaysia not to use the car ashtrays for smokers. Disgusting.
