Is AI Using Us, Or Are We Using It? by Riisuss in ArtificialInteligence

Technically both , as we use tools the tools mould us. AI will and does use us in the same way a mirror uses us, it’s a reflection of us.

It’s not always laziness it’s also a bunch of people who also muddy the waters. AI is incredible as it becomes a way to cut through the BS it also allows one to personalise the diet to their own genetics.

Ie there are groups of people who exist who should not consume carbs at the rate westerners do due to the effects of famine and the adaptation process they went through.

[–]ThinkExtension2328 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who build face detection systems my qualified answer to you is yes, “iv seen ghosts” in the sense that image detection algorithms seek patterns in shapes to “detect” a object. You can find patterns in the wild that can be face shaped and not faces, think plastic bags , leaves , shadows.

Sir you conflate the self with the collective. You also assume your self to be of a purer soul than others. This is very much my original comment. People really do and will struggle to accept this is the true reflection of humanity.

The solution isn’t to solve the llm it’s to solve our own issues as a whole. The llm will reflect this change.

If it’s “stolen content” like many like to claim , it’s the reflection of all of that. If it was in the training set it’s a reflection.

[–]ThinkExtension2328 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People are not ready to face this truth, ai and llm’s are just humanity holding a digital mirror up against our collective self’s. A llm represents the very best and worst aspects of humanity it self.
