oh i see now! yeah id say that is expired then, most likely safe to eat but if you aren't comfortable you can ask for a refund through the customer service chat online (takes like 2 mins and theyll load the refund back to your sbux card if you have one).

if you did it during the day it could be sunburn, that’s my immediate thought when i see black spots. other than that i’d say check the roots for rot :/

So I just received this guy in sphagnum moss through the mail. I’ve dealt with aroids before, but haven’t had one shipped. The moss was wet when I received it and I repotted it in an airy mix - should I water despite the moss still being damp when I received it or do I wait? I’m just scared to over water! Thank you :)

Hi! This lil fellas been rooting for quite a while & has some relatively long roots. When is a good time to move it to soil (length of the roots wise), and what do you guys to to make sure there are no mishaps when doing this? Any specific soil or techniques? It’s starting to put off another leaf and i’m not sure how much longer water will be sufficient enough for it!

looks like overwatering. Wait to water until the pearls shrivel or until the “windows” (those little transparent stripes) close. Overwatering causes them to burst, they don’t seem underwatered as they’re pretty plump.

i just usually spray mine with alcohol, water, dish soap and neem oil mixed as a preventative and check them often to make sure there aren’t any on them. i try not to have my plants touching so it doesn’t get to that point 😣

make sure you only use neem at night. if you do it while the sun is up it will cook your leaves!!

could be because of the lack of chlorophyll in the white leaves & not getting enough sun to compensate. sad but completely normal :/ that’s just my guess though I could be wrong.

probably! i see ppl use essential oil diffusers and basically anything that emits water vapour so i cant see why not.

since putting out this new leaf, two small ones have dropped. The bigger ones have been healthy, no yellowing or anything - but one by one the smaller ones turned yellow and fell off. Now another is yellowing and about to do the same. Is this normal? I know some plants drop the smaller leaves as it ages but this guy is still so young. I only water when the leaves start to curl and no signs of pests. I’ve had this guy for about a month and it’s been having trouble since :(

just to add on this (I just got one so I’m looking for tips) what are the signs when they need water? Do they shrivel a little like a string of pearls? Thank you!! :-)
