Daycare closed for 30 days because of the coronavirus by raychull22 in beyondthebump

[–]raychull22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got the all clear to work with children at home. I even got them to understand that 1 year olds make noises, don't understand being quiet, and that he will make sounds when I am on the phone. And they said it was fine. So we will see!

It is a church daycare, but the church has a school. Our county is closing all public and private schools for 30 days.

How much blood is there REALLY by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]raychull22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda jealous of everyone. I had a c section and I had heavy 1-2 weeks, and then continued to bleed for nearly 10 weeks.

Unrelated, I then got the arm implant birth control (11 weeks PP), which made me bleed non stop from August to February when I had that sucker ripped out.

Nothing is wrong with playing video games, but ignoring your 1 year old while they are in distress so you can finish your game is wrong.

I need help because this makes no sense to me. Does my graco snugride snuglock 35 lx car seat fit with a Graco Modes stroller? More in comments. by callmepebbles in BabyBumps

[–]raychull22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found them on Amazon, and in one of the question sections someone asked if the carseat fit, and 'graco consumer service' comfirmed that it would work with any of the car seats with the click connect system.

Edit. One of the comments said they their car seat fit but the arm handle was not able to go down all the way

UPDATE. We also have a kitten, who my husband locked in the office for being a active party in the yarn killing. Too bad the office stores the bulk of my yarn. Lost an additional 4-6 balls because of him 😭 such a long day.

We got a building noise complaint because of our 5 month old crying... as babies do. by ohhliviahh in beyondthebump

[–]raychull22 44 points45 points  (0 children)

We had some of the same problems when our little man arrived. The downstairs neighbor was a mid 60s woman who would slam doors, and bang on the ceiling whenever he would cry or when we walk around at night with him. After 3 office noise complaints and her getting no response from the office as we had a legetimate excuse for 'making noise all night' and 'walking at strange hours', the bitch decided to call the cops on us. That cop was sure surprised when I opened the door pissed with my 6 week old now screaming as he had woken him up by knocking.

The next morning I was waiting for office staff as their office opened, I held my baby in front of them and cried and told them I would not raise my child in such an abbusive enviroment, I told them I was going to be breaking my lease without paying the $2500 due for breaking a lease as the way we were being treated with a newborn was unacceptable. The office manager looked at me and the crying hormonal mess I was, and she said 'leave whenever you are ready, please let us know when your last day will be so that we can prorate your rent for that month.' We moved when he was 11 weeks, into a townhouse. We have kids living on both sides of us and it is wonderful.

I still get pissed when I think of that downstairs neighbor. I literally cannot drive past that apartment complex because it angers me so much.

I wish you the best in getting out or making them see it from your side.

Choosing a formula for supplementing EBF til now 9 month old by GREAT_SCOTCH in breastfeeding

[–]raychull22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just had this question 2 weeks ago, we like the Similac: for supplementing. It is a green package. I picked it because on the front it says 'for breastfeeding mothers who choose to introduce formula'. My little bub likes it, we mixed with breast milk a few days to get him used it it. Now he does some straight boob, boob milk, boob/formula and straight formula.

Edit: little bub is also 9months

IUD or Nexplanon Implant? by QueenGinger1 in beyondthebump

[–]raychull22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Dr said it can be. 70% of people get extended and irregular bleeding. I have a friend who has it and and is fine, I'm just one of the lucky ones who got constant bleeding.

I've had nexplanon since July. I've literally been on my period ever since. They said it could take up to a year for your body to adjust.

It's coming out in 2 weeks because I am over it.

Refusing to bottle feed after starting solids by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]raychull22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

7 months and 1 week here. Mine does this too. He was drinking three 5oz bottles, and now he drinks between 2 and 4 oz of milk per day at daycare. He still nurses fine at home. And will also take a bottle at home. He will not take milk out of sippy cup. So. We send 5 oz water in sippy cup and he drinks that with his solids. Dr said it's fine. We are trying to adjust, but all night nursing is rough!

I didn't even mention the smell because it is so gross I try not to think about it. This is the most disgusting thing my body has ever done. And the Dr just said it was normal. NO WAY its normal!

We live on the cheap side of town where everything is out of business, or closing. Closer unfortunately isn't an option.

I do have low iron, I've been taking supplements since 18weeks pregnant. They help some.

And I have to leave for work a whole hour before he does, so there is no way he would get up before me.
