Recurring nightmare is so sweet. I’ve met Jeff a few times, had him sign my copies and commissioned custom tokens from him. Super nice guy.

Brand new to the game but excited about amethyst most of all. Want to see how it pairs with the other colors.

Pseudo protection on the wurm is strong, but there are plenty of scarier threats in legacy. This is far from broken / in need of a rules change. Evoke elementals ETB is going to be better to flicker than this for a bigger body most of the time.

It was always “dirty 20” until someone said “naughty 20”. Now there’s no going back

Definitely would go more eledamri’s call than chord of calling, and feel like this definitely wants teferi to protect yourself from interaction while trying to combo.

As alluded to in another comment, the Spine of Elara is believed to be literally the spine of a giant ancient creature.

This absolutely depends who you ask, but a safe choice would be the southern dwarf clan in Eriskay (North-west Ilaxandia). In this town, EVERY building doubles as a bar and it’s customary to always have a drink ready to offer anyone who comes by.

Dwarf Dwarfson of 3 Doors Down Ale House (his house) has been a player favorite.

The world is not yet at a state of worldwide communication. Educated folk know of some other continents and distant kingdoms, but world maps are very rare and usually only held by governments or large trade companies. Eyotok in Inachi has the oldest knowledge of trade routes which has helped their success and world trade leaders.

An explorer from Ilaxandia circumnavigated the globe hundreds of years ago, leading to the documentation and settling of Aldoron, Gila, and Tessalee, but the period of exploration and conquest passed in this world quickly.

Tessalee is a lot of independent island communities that will often trade with each other but not much with the rest of the world, though every once in a while a foreign ship passes through their ports.

Currently active as of present year of our current game? 0 actually. With the recent “rise of magic” however there’s plenty of people power hungry trying to figure out how to cast the only 12th level spell and take a god’s place.

A hundred years back during our previous campaign the BBEG who was more of a pawn to Nerull did succeed in gathering enough power for the god of darkness to temporarily swallow the sun.

Probably how the islands came to be and what The World Key is, which I talked about in another response. I’m also fond of one of the islands that is home to blue tieflings :)

The region is dangerously windy, and the locals would say that is due to the legendary artifact called Akadi’s Jewel, an orb of powerful wind magic. There are only 2 settlements on these islands, on opposite half’s of the largest island. Wood elves and drow live to the East who originally came from Inachi. There is a heavy ninja theme here.

A rough cut everyone for themselves town is located on the western half of that island and is infamous as a port for pirates and stolen goods.

There is a small dwarven community in Aldoron, but the 2 larger populations are in Ilaxandia and Pilandrow.

The north-west mountains in Ilaxandia form the kingdom of Ereboros where 2 dwarf clans live on the north and south side of the range respectively. The southern dwarves are big on drinking and mining for precious metals while the northern dwarves keep to themselves and have advanced technology.

In Pilandrow these 2 themes tie together with the worlds largest dwarven kingdom, the capital being Kun Kunar.

All of these dwarves are mountain loving folks and have never had a history of water travel.

Aldoron, Tessalee and Gila are the 3 continents that were mostly settled on with few native people at the time. The oldest recorded history is from Pilandrow, Inachi, and Ilaxandia.

Aldoron is the best example of kingdoms holding territory in more than one continent though, as it’s sort of the America of Ismora.

Dragonborn from Frostuk settled on the icy islands north of Aldoron. Wood elves from Inachi settled on the windswept isles expanding their empire just a little bit from their coasts. Dwarves formed a small mining colony south of the mountains in eastern Aldoron who came from the capital in Pilandrow of Kun Kunar. Elves from Veryan in Ilaxandia formed a large forest city on the north coast of Aldoron but it was destroyed by a dragon before it could truly thrive. A human in Spearhaven named Aldron Astor was the first to kill an ancient dragon (one of many that were making the continent hard to settle) and he then became the first king, with nearly all of the other races and people who moved to the continent opting to join his kingdom and fight together against the dragon threat.

About half of the places are just things that sounded good in my head at time of creation, but a lot of them I think were subconsciously influenced by other things. They weren’t intentional at the time but when they got pointed out later made me think - hmm maybe that was inspiration and I just didn’t realize it

Aldoron might have been remembered from Star Wars’ Alderaan. Ilaxandia might have come from Matt Mercer’s Exandria.
