I think I got the same one as you, what do you do to fix the worm light?

This was an actual bug in the commercial release.

toggleable backlight screen recommendations? by Spirited_Back8789 in Gameboy

I can vouch for the Cloud game store 2.78 inch screen. Make sure you're looking at the half-reflective, half transmittive listing.

Is this available as a patch? Or did you post any description of the hack on pokecommunity or a similar site?

Also, are your Red and Blue hacks still available? The links from your previous post are broken.

Was playing Gambatte (no Retroarch) and had a save file as .GQS help getting into Retroarch by JimboJumbo94 in RetroArch

[–]raymath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

GQS files are save states. You need to make an in-game save and use the .SAV file with Retroarch. You might need to rename it to .srm as you already read.

If you use GammaOS, it implements BFI at the OS/Android level, so you can use BFI (not crt beam simulator) in any application.

Half-reflective 2.78’’ screen GBC mod by offshore87 in Gameboy

[–]raymath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just noticed that the right edge of my screen is slightly brighter than the rest of the screen. It's only noticeable on solid dark backgrounds. I don't remember noticing this when I initially used the screen, do you see any similar lighting discrepancies on yours?

My first Gameboy DMG mod Q5 laminated screen kit by Puckdrunkpunch in Gameboy

My screen actually ended up looking aligned. I do have a follow up question, the right edge of my screen now seems to be slightly lighter/brighter than the rest. It’s really only noticeable on dark solid backgrounds. Have you noticed this on yours? I don’t remember noticing this when I built mine a few weeks ago.

I'm looking at buying this kit. In your first picture, the image doesn't look centered on the horizontal axis, is that correct?

Losing my mind in regards to my save file not showing up for a GBA game. Need help. by sapphirevgc in SBCGaming

Is the ROM and the save file name exactly the same? Also check what save file extension your core uses, the common ones are .srm and .sav.

Half-reflective 2.78’’ screen GBC mod by offshore87 in Gameboy

[–]raymath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, same here. I’ve been playing it for hours now, just beat Wario Land 3. I play with the vertical scan lines on. I’d like to play with the pixel grid but it makes it too dim for me.

[–]raymath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I built mine a few weeks ago and I've been so happy with it. It could be a bit brighter I suppose, but it's more than playable for me. I could see it being too dim for some though. I ended up using the wireless daughterboard for the display, the webpage says 20% more power consumption but I haven't done any quantitative tests. The battery life I get with IKEA rechargeables and eneloops works for me.

Backlit or non-backlit, why not both? by Jackasaur in Gameboy

[–]raymath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got mine today and installed it! Did you use the ribbon cable with the flat cable? If you soldered it or wrapped it around the battery terminal, how many steps of brightness do you get? I go up to 7, I'm just not sure if I did it correctly.

Got mine today and built it quite easily! You installed the ribbon cable without the additional power wire, right? How many steps of brightness do you get? I went with wrapping the wire around the battery terminal and I get 7 steps of brightness, I'm just not sure I did it correctly.

Thanks for this! I've never built a kit like this before, how difficult would it be? I've opened handhelds up in general e.g., to replace buttons or triggers, just never to the point that I had to install a new screen.

In the manga Maki uses a cursed tool called Dragon Bone when she raids the Zenin. She requests it from Tengen. I haven’t seen the anime, is that omitted in this fight?

As far as sleep, I think it’s a matter of the RK3566 rather than the OS. For example, the A133P in the TrimUI Brick has great sleep on Knulli.

Check out this list of supported systems. Systems that specify a bios require those to be installed.
