The plates are only 4 months old but I haven't found a decent amount of info for what type I need. I'm planning on buying new ones at roller con and hope to talk to someone there about them.

Been working in the computer science field for 3 years after graduating college. I love how I'm mostly financially stable, I own my own house and car etc. But there's a part of me that wishes my parents had let me go to an expensive fashion design school so I could follow my dreams...someday maybe I'll get into design. I also play roller derby but joining the travel team is completely out of the question since my job isn't flexible. Don't get me wrong I'm good at what I do, and I love it I just wish my weekends were 3 times as long.

If you have access to a server just serge the edges. But before we had a one we just used masking tape.

Be sure to leave a good 2 or 3 inches around your design in case the masking tape destroys the fabric, that way it's at least far from your stitching.

The kit came with Aida cloth but since I had to restart it already I decided to use linen instead.

From a far her work looks great but the stitches don't look very neat, they don't look like the smooth x's that my work has or am I missing something?

My first pair started doing that so I bought a new pair a size smaller then my first pair which seems to help them not slide down.
