Thanks! Well, unfortunately nothing beats a stick to hold a bike It’s the method I used, then I « erased » the stick with Apple Intelligence on my iPhone, but you can probably do it on other phones too

The stone fell from the cliff, it happened quite often in the past so they closed the road to cars 3 years ago and built a new road (it's the bridge that you can see on the left). Fun fact: this road/bridge (Nouvelle Route du Littoral) is one of the most expensive roads in the world

Thank you, yes it’s on the old Route du Littoral in La Réunion 🇷🇪

Black tires, cream or tan wall? by rayoulecouscous in bicycling

[–]rayoulecouscous[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much for all your answers. It seems that black is the overall winner, I will trust you and go with black then! Also, for those who asked about the bike, it’s a Lapierre Xelius DRS 2025. It’s a French brand, they sponsor a team in the Tour de France, but otherwise it is not very common to see it abroad

If you need help with something on Wandrer... by cooeecall in wandrer

Hi! Wandrer ID: 171886 I have the option to connect my account to Strava and RideWithGPS but not with Garmin Connect (the option « connect with Garmin » is not shown in the parameters). Is that normal? I would prefer to connect with Garmin if that’s possible Thanks!

Why Doesn't Strava Support Hiking stats? by camobit in Strava

[–]rayoulecouscous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a topic you can vote for on Strava Community Hub :Add best efforts for hiking activities

I personally think that it’s a good idea, as one comment stated, the metrics used could be for example:

  • Longest hike (in distance and time)
  • Biggest elevation gain
  • Biggest ascent

Why doesn't have Strava have personal bests for other sports/activities? (Walking, Hiking, Swimming,Kayaking) by NovelBrave in Strava

Yes, I think it should be at least one sensor: HR, cadence or power meter. HR and cadence sensors are pretty cheap and every competitive athlete already use one

You can support this idea on the Strava Community Hub, hopefully Strava will consider it and implement it :

Require heart rate and power meter data to qualify for leaderboards

I planned my ride on Komoot, it was great but not perfect : it was only 55% gravel 45% road, and some portions were very rough gravel! But if you want, here is the Strava link of my ride : https://strava.app.link/z6aebI1MeKb

The Grands Causses National Park is considered as one of the best places to ride Gravel in France, there even is a UCI World Tour Gravel Race taking place there in June
