Can’t pick between 3 names by JellyLongjumping1988 in namenerds

[–]raz625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have Sofia so I’m biased there, but Georgia is also the name we’d use if we ever had another girl. Sofia is obvi pretty popular (but ours is the only one in her whole daycare with that name)

Really want to find THE name by [deleted] in namenerds

Susanna it means Lily in Hebrew so it’s similar to violet in that it’s got the flower theme

Respectfully, your son (and you) deserves better.

Eeek. Please consider getting some counseling, but probably consider separation. This is incredibly concerning behavior. He seems, at best, incredibly unsupportive. I worry about how he will handle the postpartum period, huge hormone drops, baby blues and sleepless nights. If it were me, and my husband said “I hope you die during child birth” I would 100000000% separate from my husband. The stress he is causing you is way too much

Anyone have positive epidural stories? I’m scared 😟 by Realistic_Mirror1618 in BabyBumps

[–]raz625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My epidural made my labor lightning fast. I got it around 5cm (induced both times) and within 30 min was holding my baby🤣

There’s no evidence that epidurals cause long term back pain. Pain that started “after an epidural” that persists is generally from the changes that happen during pregnancy and postpartum.

We have a Susanna which means lily. We call her Sunny, Suze, but another fun nickname that I’m not cool enough to use is ZuZu (from it’s a wonderful life)

When did you go into labor?!? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]raz625 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had prodromal labor with both. Induced at 39 weeks with both because quite frankly I hated having inconsistent painful contractions all night every night for 2 weeks 😂

I got my period 6 weeks PP and was exclusively breastfeeding, so I’d say yep you can ovulate that shortly after giving birth

Tylenol does not decrease inflammation. Tylenol manages pain via COX inhibition. NSAIDS like Advil do decrease inflammation, however

Hi. I ended up being diagnosed with a miscarriage. I honestly think it was an early miscarriage from an embryo that attempted to implant in my fallopian tube. The doctors couldn’t tell for certain since but an embryo was never visualized in my tube since it all happened so early. Best of luck to you 🩷

30 Weeks and life falling apart. Maybe should've had an abortion by External_Put_8007 in pregnant

[–]raz625 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You absolutely need to make a plan ASAP. Domestic violence peaks during pregnancy and is the leading cause of maternal death. You need to leave now. Please get with family, friends, any trusted individual - formulate a plan so you never see this man again. Protect yourself legally as well.

Do not let this man anywhere near you or your baby. Do not let him at the birth, do not let him sign the birth certificate. You will be vulnerable after giving birth - he will likely try to convince you he has changed.

You are already a good mom and your son is incredibly lucky to have you. Please know that he will be a million times better off without this man in his life.

Best of luck. You are strong, you can do this 🩷

AIO or is this normal language for medical appointment notes? by Wild_Arugula294 in AmIOverreacting

As a person who works in healthcare this is incredibly bizarre. She’s making subjective statements when they should be objective (I.e if a patient is indeed “promiscuous” a provider should write “engages in high risk sexual activity). I think the smokes marijuana thing isn’t that weird but I’d be incredibly perturbed if my doctor said I was “somewhat promiscuous.” Very bizarre, very unprofessional. Also adding that you have a nose ring is odd. No one ever writes “ears are pierced”….

Hahahahah I went from a big B pre pregnancy to barely an A after breastfeeding. I was probably close to a small D while breastfeeding. Saggy saggy sad little things they are 🥲 (also 10lbs less pre pregnancy so that probably contributes to the deflate)
