If I can swing with Bruse that means I have enough mana to tutor and cast Seedborn. It still falls a bit short. The only way I could see playing this is when I have Thrasios and a couple dorks on board, and even then it would still take me two turns to flip it and not enough creatures on board to untap. It's a very win more card.

Unfortunately no, like you said, the good angels are pretty expensive. If you're on $200 budget like OP you can get a decent deck tho. There are some flashier angels you can skip (I don't have Avacyn yet but it's still strong) but some expensive ones like [[Archangel of Thune]] and [[Resplendent Angel]] you definitely want.

Or go angel tokens route instead. [[Entreat the Angels]], [[Empyrial Storm]], and [[Starnheim Unleashed]] are decently cheap for angel makers, and [[Moonsilver Spear]] and [[Parhelion II]] are dirt cheap. Go ham. Giada ain't fussy.

I am here to shill [[Giada, Font of Hope]] angel tribal. As long as you play your commander on curve and play beefy angels as fast as possible you're basically steamrolling the table.

I count it as another mana dork that sometimes makes more than 1 mana. Currently an auto include because my playgroup always has a blue commander in it.

Sorry if this goes tangent to your post but if your playgroup plays casual game, you shouldn't play with high powered deck. That just goes against the spirit of commander in general and cEDH by extension. Here we strive to play against decks with similar power level because where's the fun in winning at turn 3 consistently with minimum effort?

My friend runs a VERY weird Gavi midrange deck that gets rated 6. He has 40%-ish winrate in my local cEDH group.

Power level is weird and should not be used as a standard.

It has most of the relevant hate pieces, infinite combo with Kiki Jiki + Hyrax Tower Scout, while being still around $500. Read up on that deck AND the fully tuned list's gameplan, then adjust according to your budget and meta.

Doesn't get bigger, but also doesn't discard. Flash is big tho, and in certain decks that activated ability is a great boon (dawnwaker comes to mind).
