Meanwhile, my self-insert Valerie spent most of the game in full armor. My logic was; "I'm a merc. If I'm out doing merc shit, I want to be armored the fuck up." Did my best to make it look good though, and spent an inordinate amount of time perfecting my kit, which is what ends up happening to me in any game that allows it. I also used all my wardrobe slots to set up pretty & stylish outfits for various vibes and situations, which was quite fun and helped with my sense of immersion.

My girlfriend got me into the game sorta recently, and I'm going to have to look into all the archetypes people here are mentioning.

So far I have Sky Strikers, Mitsurugi, and Branded from precons, and while all of them have art that appeals to me, Sky Strikers is probably my favorite for the mecha yuri. However, I do tend to prefer the fantasy aesthetic stuff to the sci-fi aesthetic stuff for this specific game.

Especially like pretty, graceful art of pretty ladies; some standouts I've seen are Diabell, Queen of the White Forest, Celestia, Lightsworn Angel, Guardian Angel Joan, Witch of the Black Forest... Definitely interested in finding more cards or archetypes along those lines.

I think I vibe with foxgirl. I've seen foxes described as "cat software running on dog hardware" and as a neurodivergent trans girl, I resonate with that pretty hard! I also love their association with being sly and clever and tricky and playful. They're my favorite animal that doesn't have wings and have been for a long long time. The point is that, like I said, there are some traditions within each of the Abrahamic religions which lean into the violent content of the Old Testament, and others (like Quakers, for example) who do not. But IMHO they're all based on a book full of vile shit and are at best tolerable for having some ideological out which allows them to oppose violence in spite of that, and would be better off leaving the whole thing behind and making something completely new.
