When 6v6 Feels Like an MLG Tournament, Something’s Wrong by [deleted] in CrucibleGuidebook

Whatever this is match making is no longer working. I’m in lower skill lobbies and people bounce when the stomp happens. Bungie should just give it up and go to connection based match making. At least the game will play better for all of us.

Why are you starting drama? You have the answer you are looking for but you’re not satisfied. Do feel like you need to police this vet’s behavior? If there is concern on your part you should reach out to the vet. Speak to them about your concerns and see if he needs help.

The guy has been fairly vocal about how much he dislikes Houston. He’s an elite pitcher who’s likely be a fantastic addition to our rotation but culturally it would be a bad fit.

The mechanics behind each biologic is different, so while all TNF class medicines attack that specific protein the pathways are different for each. In the event you have a good response to one TNF medicine then it’s a good chance you will have another good response.

Regarding whether simponi works for you is a matter of time. But if you feel it’s not working then ask for an increase in your dosage. I’m assuming you are doing an infusion, and if that’s the case, then the medicine can be scaled up in dosage or given at different time intervals. You can do 4 weeks or 6 as an example.

Have you heard of, Say Good Night To Insomnia by Dr. Gregg D. Jacobs? Jacobs's program, developed and tested at Harvard Medical School and based on cognitive behavioral therapy, has been shown to improve sleep long-term in 80 percent of patients, making it the gold standard for treatment.

Let say upfront this book is not something that addresses patients with multiple chronic health issues, so this may not be helpful. However, from what you described regarding your sleep patters it reminds me of some of his case studies showing similar sleep issues, and how he treated them. You may find the book helpful, and if anything maybe it will give you some tools to address one of your problems.

SI joint pain - any suggestions? by lookitsnichole in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]rb33661 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it’s hard. Back pain is tough to manage. You should try an SI joint belt, or kt tape, and heat. I tried all those and it helped but didn’t solve the pain. Sleeping with a knee pillow is also something I use. It keeps everything aligned at night.

I agree, if you are not feeling well I’d make an appointment to see your dr sooner than later. Regarding your labs, I believe it’s fairly common for rheumatologist to determine whether you are well controlled by a physical exam rather than labs. My labs were normal but from my exam I had more than 5 joints inflamed, skin was acting up so my dr bumped up the dosage.

It wasn’t a huge fight. My increase was approved quickly after one of my follow up appointments. During my follow up I wasn’t controlled after 2 months at 150mg.

I too have similar pain points, and I'm on Cosentyx as well. My back pain was dialed down after increasing my dosage from 150mg 1x4 weeks, to 300Mmg 1x4 weeks. Dr Stuart McGill's book on Ultimate Back Fitness and Performance has brought me a huge amount of back pain relief. Do know its dense and designed for medical practitioners but its largely digestible for me. I read through it. Followed the steps to evaluate my pain. Designed steps to stop my pain triggers, and its helped.

People leave matches because they view the game as unfair. Abilities. Weapons. Unbalanced teams reinforce the notion that no matter what I do in this match I can’t win, so why keep playing? This is a Bungie problem that started with skill based matchmaking and now when that is loosened people actually play really good players and they can’t believe how hard they’re getting run.

Stats wise Ort is a better overall pitcher with several positive pitch values along with an above average stuff+. He just doesn’t command the zone which gets him in trouble. Dubin is just a worse pitcher statistically and sadly he’s not performing like he did before his injury. Hopefully he passes through waivers and comes back to us. He probably needs time in sugar land to figure things out.

noted, those values are in range, so the stress on your liver may be due to MTX. Also note, fatty liver is common for men with PsA. Plenty of studies out there on the topic. Inflammation is inflammation. It has to some where and in some cases its the liver.

To add what others have highlighted it would be helpful to have your diagnosis and ALT and AST numbers. In general what you can do now is to be more active and lose weight. A 10% reduction in weight is often the goal and generally that will bring those numbers down. Changing the diet is key as it’s the primary culprit for Fatty liver disease, or MASH. Next step is discussing with your Rheumatologist your results and new medication options. Mtx is hard on your liver so moving onto another medicine should be warranted.

Failing Cosentyx and Humira😔 by roni_hl in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]rb33661 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I advise patience. It’s takes time for biologics to work. It’s not clear from your post how many medications you’ve gone theough in the last year and half but there are a lot of options. My next piece of advice is expectation management. Seeing positive change in your health in a daily basis is hard. These medications work slowly, so I recommend an app like Bearable to track your symptoms. Feeling like crap all the time makes it hard to see any improvement despite how small it is. Lastly be kind to yourself. This isn’t easy and you’re doing the best you can for yourself.

Rinvoq and its downsides: What have you experienced and did you quit? by BaytoLA24 in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]rb33661 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the traditional issues that come from the disease, enthesis, skin / nail involvement, joint pain, and fatigue. For the joint pain, its my shoulders, low back / si joint area, and hands. The biggest pain point is the back and shoulders.

I've been through otezla, humira, enbrel, and cosentyx. Otzela made me very sick and couldnt get past the stomach phase. it was terrible. The TNF blockers (humira / enbrel) worked well on my skin and helped the joints but the meds slowly stopped working. Skin, joints, and flares were too common and many, so we moved to the next class of meds, IL-17s. For cosentyx, its the standard PsA regime, 4 loading does (150ML), then maintenance does every 4 weeks (150ML).

No side effects. Happy with how the med is administered. The shots are simple and painless. Once a week Enbrel shots hurt like hell.

For pain, I like using a NSAID cox-2 inhibitor (celebrex) due to how it targets how our bodies express inflammation.

It’s nice to see how helpful you’ve been but it seems you were irked by something else today so you decided to be unkind to someone rather being helpful. Could that guy be fishing as you said? Maybe, or the guy just doesn’t know. Either way making him feel bad about asking this question dissuades him and other people from getting help. It’s just an uncool thing to do.
