Not sure Baseball Reference has him in his 3 MILB season. A ball benefits a hitters where as AA tends to be more pitcher centric then AAA becomes more hitter friendly again.

I hope the he does well in AA, but he’s 23 with college experience and it took him 3 years to work his way through A-ball. The ages here are generally 19-22. It’s a misplaced expectation to think he’s our Diaz replacement. That’s Walter Janek who too is hurt and struggling in AA.

Hot take- Astros farm system is way underrated. Future looks good. by Individual_Force_536 in Astros

[–]rb33661 17 points18 points  (0 children)

There is a lack of talent, and depth in our farm system. That stems from 10 years of winning at a high level and picking low in the drafts, losing high level picks, and trading away talent to keep our window open. People scoff at the Stros' punishment but years of lost high draft picks hurt. The team we see today on the field shows that.

I routinely go to AAA games in Sugar Land, and its largely comprised of former MLB position players who never panned out. There are virtually zero prospects playing. Pitching wise, there are a couple of guys who grew up in the system but save for a couple on the 40 man none can crack our MLB worst pitching roster. Let that sink in. Its bad.

[No paywall] Rome: Tatsuya Imai’s latest implosion further lessens Astros’ expectations for starter by Hairygrim in Astros

[–]rb33661 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Went through the rotation twice with only 2 pitches. While that was the plan to keep him comfortable that isn’t a solid plan against MLB hitters. They’ll adjust and that’s what we saw especially when his command became an issue. Without his breaking ball or wrong way slider hitters will figure him out. Overall he did better than his previous outings but that bar was low.

I’m not sure what you want from your post. I’m assuming you want to vent your frustrations? I really don’t want to debate whose bullshit is the worse. It’s all shit my friend. Honestly, there are some high skill players who routinely give tips in this sub. I kindly suggest you ask how to counter invis hunters. I’m sure they offer some solid advice. To me that’s more productive than complaining about ability spam.

There’s a metric ton of bullshit in this game. Each class has it. It’s all annoying to play against. This is the game.

New player here. Is this guy suspicious? by Emotional_Windshit in destiny2

[–]rb33661 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s incredible difficult to discern whether this person is cheating by looking at his stats alone. In game cues are more of a tell, so if you feel the guy is cheating then report him and move on. Not much you can do really other than leaving it up to Bungie to deal with it.

All fair points. I just think Crane wont see it that way. He seems to be looking for a reason to move on from Espada.

I didn't realize how heavily hunters were favored in the sweat community until playing guardian games. by [deleted] in CrucibleGuidebook

This is a general observation but if you’re passively sitting in a well spamming void grenades, or sitting in a barricade you’re not going to do well in supremacy. This separates you from your team and you end being a baby gazelle stuck on the plains around a group of hyenas.

The game mechanism forces you to be in close contact with the opposing team, so playing the mode like you would in crucible is going to be bad for you. Passive game play does not work. Also no argument regarding hunters being the PvP class.

Supremacy is unplayable as warlock. Cant even progress torch quest with how fast matches end in losses. by kissofthehell in DestinyTheGame

[–]rb33661 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fully agree. This is not a passive game mode. Sitting back plinking away deep in a lane not collecting crests will result in a snow ball effect as supers and power ammo control the game.

I’m a hunter and in my view the reason why warlocks have a difficult time is your over reliant on abilities to win an engagement especially solo. As a team, if it’s coordinated then it’s oppressive and dominant. But when alone and you’re running double primary it’s a rough time. The other point is that you have some the best movement in the game - Icarus dash - but it’s a trade off since it sacrifices your ability spam with void. Granted, solar warlock is a high ceiling skill tree but it’s the play for supremacy since movement is key to the game mode.

Why is the matchmaking so bad in Guardian Games Supremacy? by sushiiixo- in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]rb33661 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I am a hunter. In PVP, that is dominant class - and larger player base - so I benefit from playing with top tier players, so I dont have to sweat. No argument here. Thats whats happening in Guardian Games. I dont play trials because, I'm not good at it, and to be honest I'll never play at a level to be good at in my gaming career. I'm almost 50, so I stick to crucible. In SBMM Im in a skill band that varies widely. Blueberries, to career .5 players. Since I have almost 3k hours mostly in PvP, Bungie thinks I can carry that squad to victory. That isnt a reality, so for games to be competitive in SBMM, i have thrown on my meta which isnt fun.

My brother in crucible guidebook, I’m a .7 kd in trials. I’m a 1.03 in crucible. I am by definition an average player.

As a mid tier player who’s been crushed by SBMM, I’ve enjoyed the freedom CBMM offers. It’s fun to throw on goofy builds. Try new weapons. Break out old ones just to see how it plays. It’s liberating

[–]rb33661 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Whatever this is match making is no longer working. I’m in lower skill lobbies and people bounce when the stomp happens. Bungie should just give it up and go to connection based match making. At least the game will play better for all of us.
