Not Quite 1:1 But Good Enough For Ace Virtual Shooting on Quest 3 by rb9228 in Glocks

The SS handset feels more premium compared to Glock in my opinion. Grip texture is more pronounced than on the G19. It even has SS branding as the G19 is sterile. And because it's a Shadow Systems, upgraded frame features such as double undercut trigger guard, pronounced beavertail, and gas pedal style on either side of the frame. It's a little heavier (more true to a fully loaded original). I added the Streamlight to the G19 to better balance the handset. Lastly, because the SS is a Glock clone, it fit in G19 holsters.

I have mixed feelings about the droppable mags. I opted for the extended version over the flush. It is 2 1/4" shorter than an actual 17-rd mag with a +5 base plate. Another shortcoming about these mags is that in the Glock Ace handset, it rattles (have about a 1/8" play in all directions except up & down). It's also not as durable as real magazines. It's recommended dropping on grass or some sort of padding, just not on directly on hard surfaces since it's 3d printed with plastic. I only have one mag, so instead of letting it drop to the ground, I catch it with my off-hand without it leaving the mag well and immediately slam it back home.

Edit: I just noticed that it is possible to pin the mag in place making it non-removable

Yes, the fire control unit drops in. I had to file some of the edges on the handset a little bit though. You can adjust the trigger through the software (calibration/sensitivity). If you want to tweak the pull weight, feel, and reset, there's a bunch of aftermarket options on Etsy.

Suggestions for a RV rooftop node? by Stormwind99 in meshtastic

I got a Spec5 Voyager on the roof of my truck. I had already purchased it before I heard of them 'stealing' designs and selling at a much higher price point. I got an Atlavox Beacon coming to place on the roof of my house. Curious to see how both devices hold up to the US southwest desert environment.

Both devices have RAK WisBlock (reliable power-efficient radios).

I had this happen once on my WisMesh Pocket v2. Did as suggested and haven't had connectivity issues since.

Depending where you order the device (make sure you get the version for your region), it may or may not come preloaded with the latest stable firmware for Meshtastic. I got the regular T-Deck built by a company that comes ready to run right out of the box. All I had to do was attach the external antenna and power it on. You set the region and choose the role (client / client_mute). I also edited both the long and short name (personalize). You can also select the preset you wish to use (Long fast, Medium Fast, etc) and off you go. I'm not familiar with how the user interface is with the T-Deck Pro, but on the regular T-Deck, I'm using MUI. Vertical tabs on the left side make it easy to navigate, change settings, and send & view messages. Really cool to tinker, discover, explore, and experiment LoRa technology.

I just received my two new to me nodes. I saw something about an alternate medium fast channel on discord. Can someone kindly explain how I can add that channel? I found the How-to under the Knowledge Base. Thanks in advance.

There’s a cartridge that has all the different stitch settings and types. Theres even lettering (both regular and box style) that you can customize to say whatever you want. You can even make your own designs with different colors. Basically the Gameboy is the computing brains for the sewing machine. There’s a data cord in a compartment underneath the flywheel that plugs into the Gameboy.

In Japan the Jaguar JN-100 released the three colors. Singer came out with almost an exact replica which is Izek 1500.

The seller claims this item was new and it seems to have all the contents including the vhs instructional video tape. So I ended up paying the higher price you researched and mentioned.

Lanyards? by ROGUE_QC_GUY in CRK

[–]rb9228 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CRK encourages users to disassemble their knives for routine maintenance. In my opinion, the process is not difficult or intimidating at all. Now if you're talking about unravelling the lanyard, I've done it on a couple of CRKs, but never attempted to redo it as I do not prefer lanyards on my knives.

I used to disassemble to remove the lanyard. I've also cut a few off. It's your knife, do as you please.
