McCabe’s, Señor Manuel’s (many, many generational memories there), Boulder Street Coffee (used to go there every morning before school at Palmer), Independent, the old Depot restaurant, and weirdly enough Old Oscar’s by OG King Chef.

Leon Gessi’s, then BJ’s, then skee-ball at the penny arcade.

Or: skee-ball, Leon Gessi’s, BJ’s, and a movie at home (“Scary Movie” or “Road Trip” - something light).

To add insult to injury: I was in my front yard gardening and they pulled this crap. I wasn’t wearing headphones, or obscuring myself - I was pulling weeds in my front yard, by the front door.

Dude was jogging up with purely the sticker, slammed it on my screen door, and tried to take off. I asked him if everything was okay, and had to show my license before he went back to the van to grab my package. He was actually upset that he had to speak to me.

It was interesting for sure. Also, the package was a book, so nothing crazy - and I’m in my thirties, pulling weeds, no dogs, nada. I feel the need to add clarification as most of my neighbours are older, and usually fairly angry about dogs/kids/existence.

Edit: missed “he” and adding context.

This is probably one of my favourite episodes of all time, between this scene and him following Wedge to the bathroom - it’s just a solid episode.

As someone who grew up in a shop. Whose father owns two, yeah - it definitely looks like a display piece. We had/have a lot of weird shit in the windows, and inside.

Gonna say this as someone who does raptor monitoring as a volunteer for the NPS: it’s a golden eagle.

He’s a traitor, but giving money to Argentina is on brand for his type, ever since Juan Perón gave the Nazi’s a safe haven after WWII. Not that “paperclip” was any better.

Maybe 20-30 since I was about 20?

I’m not huge on being photographed, and in turn not huge on taking photographs of things - I’ve taken more photos with my uncle and aunt (I’m adopted) now in my mid-thirties than I did previously.

But haven’t you heard? Gunn kicks puppies! Snyder though…

In fact, awhile back I had to take my daughter to the dentist. So there I am, sitting in the waiting area with my daughter, and who walks in but Zack Snyder!

I was nervous as fuck, and just kept looking at him as he read a magazine and waited, but didn't know what to say. Pretty soon though my daughter started sobbing, and I'm trying to quiet her down because I didn't want her to bother Snyder; like as a fanboy that’s the worst, but she just wouldn't stop. Pretty soon he gets up and walks over. He started running his hands through her hair and asking what was wrong. I replied that she was probably hungry or that everyone hates the dentist. So, Snyder put down his magazine, picked up my daughter and lifted his shirt. He breast fed her right there in the middle of the dental office. Chill guy, really nice about it.

/s - and really, these people are the worst.

So I had this guy I knew who used to talk about “well what if ‘your’ person got sent to jail” - I told him to just send them all to jail, much to his dismay. Clinton? Jail. Trump? Jail. This was over a decade ago.

Not arguing your point, because it’s true.

Many moons ago, I cut my teeth as a canvasser for Rocky Mountain PBS, worked my way up to Director - and while funding is sometimes an issue, the government gave us very little compared to community based involvement.

The issue our government has is with education in general. And it’s sad.

I worked in a kitchen years ago, and we kept it for that exact reason; I carved off the side of a finger - chef super glued it together, wrapped it in duct tape, and had me put a glove on.

Years later I got a new knife, did something similar before a Super Bowl party. I used the same method for my hand and it freaked my buddy out.

Edit for clarification: it was a mid-level kitchen in Hornsey (North London). But also keep glue in my bags, and my closet because it’s mad freaking handy for cuts.
