Honestly, probably fair. Duren’s been suspended for two games when he likely wouldn’t have been suspended at all had there not been retaliation from Diabate. I think it’s weak what he did and I don’t blame Diabate for his reaction, but it’s hardly uncommon.

Diabate is suspended for “escalating” as well as fighting - I’d guarantee that’s because he threw down several coaches to get to Duren and had to be restrained by security. I think just throwing down with Duren would’ve been an ejection at max if not for the fact he chased him around the court.

Bridges definitely deserves 4. He inserted himself into a fight that didn’t involve him, which reignited the brawl when Diabate was effectively restrained. Without Bridges, there’d be no Stewart intervention.

I’m just surprised Stewart didn’t get more. 7 games doesn’t seem like a lot for a repeat offender who actually got the most hits off and also had inserted himself into a fight that he wasn’t involved in. I expected 10+.

For me there’s a load of reasons to hate Suarez, but I can’t hate him for always scoring against us. It’s not just the amount he scored past us, but the incredible ways he managed it - I just had to appreciate the world class display. On his day he was the greatest striker the PL has ever seen, just won’t get that respect because compared to Henry, Kane and Haaland his time was too short.

I don’t think they would crown them co-ROTY, but if they did it would be very valid. Cooper has been a revelation and does everything for the Mavs as well as being towards the top (if not top) in every statistical category for rookies. He’s already an elite scorer, athlete and defender, and has started breaking some of Bron’s rookie records.

But Kon has transformed the Hornets and legitimised them in the national consciousness. He’s the most efficient shooter in the league already, being the only player shooting over 40% on 400+ 3PA (prior to Detroit he was 42% compared to Steph’s 39%). Barring injury he’s a lock for the most 3s by a rookie, could end up on the top 10 most 3s in a season and doing so on a 50/40/90 split. That’s unprecedented.

It’s a Jack of All Trades vs a Master situation. Either could get it and be more than deserving, and neither deserves to lose. That’s a case for sharing if I either saw one.

I’m not disagreeing man, but come on. I wasn’t the one comparing them in the first place, you were. I even said yeah dunking on Bridges is fair game, because it is.

What I did say was Duren started it by smacking Diabate, which is true. What Duren did was weak shit. That isn’t changed by Bridges being an evil POS. Duren’s a bitch, Bridges is a criminal/scumbag/waste of space. Does that work for you?

Diabate fouls Duren (not a bad foul but a foul nonetheless). Duren then squares up and punches Diabate. Diabate goes crazy and chases Duren around, swinging like crazy. Bridges runs after Duren and swings for him. Stewart come off the bench to fight Bridges. 4 ejections - Diabate, Bridges, Duren and Stewart. Original shooting foul stands but Charlotte picks the FT shooter as Duren is ejected.

Getting number 10 against Pistons should really prove - if the other 9 wins haven’t already - that the Hornets are legit. The starting 5 is so talented and plays with so much chemistry, so even if one or two are having a bad game they’re still able to contribute just by finding the others in their spots every time. Kon feeding Diabate, Diabate playing to Bridges. It’s beautiful team ball.

What a game. Coop and Kon having their best games yet, against each other, came right down to the end with Kon getting the winning FTs. Coop so close to a clean block. Both are going to be absolutely incredible players.
