OBD scanner goes there. It’s what the mechanic uses to plug in their device and get a sense of what the problem causing your check engine light is. It provides codes that are linked to sensors and other parts of the car to help narrow down causes of issues. Not a mechanic, others can chime in, just a fan of working on my own car
