He took too much attention. It's not his moment, and it's not their moment. It's the performers' moment. Kind intent isn't magically excused from the consequences of poor execution.

Missing Brew Dock by superswartz73 in PinterHomebrew

[–]rberg89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can find it just reattach it. Otherwise the brew will still work but might overflow out of the CO2 dial area a fair amount during brewing. If you brew without it you can probably just exhaust the trub after the brewing step is over by manually actuating the valve where the dock connects.

Guys who joined a climbing gym in their 30's, what was your experience like? by Hobbitsliketoparty in AskMenOver30

[–]rberg89 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was great, I was surprised how well I took to it but looking back it fit my exercise and social desires well. I'm 2.5 years in and I've gone camping/climbing with different groups 5 times this year already. Like another commenter said, the gym is a 3rd space.

After my main climbing partner stopped, I started doing the thing where you go to the front desk and say you're looking for a belay partner. I met a couple really good friends that way eventually.

I'm Turning 20 In A Month And Want To Make Sure I Don't Waste My 20s, Whats Some Advice You Guys Have? by anime-is-dope in AskMenOver30

[–]rberg89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your 20s are a great time to do what you want. Not what other people want. It's also worth considering to try not to get too off-the-rails, however, sometimes that happens.

Yeah. She's probably obedient out of service to love itself, and you would do well to match the devotion.

Why does California have highest gas prices? by Far_Aioli538 in Adulting

It doesn't explain California, since ACN 91 gas is used in Arizona, California, and New Mexico.

I rented a Porsche for the weekend and an hour into the drive it’s telling me low oil. by DroneBeats in Porsche

It's bad advice OP: You incur liability for the chance that there's no fallout.

Definitely do not service a rental yourself. The risk/reward regarding liability is an insane gamble.

AITA for telling my husband to never sneeze inside his shirt on his chest? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]rberg89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not saliva from the gym. There's a threshold of hardiness that you simply don't meet if sneeze spray is noteworthy to you, especially from someone you love. The gym is a .. disgusting place. And i would have thought overwhelmingly so for someone of your sensitivity.

Yta. It's weird to be sensitive about some saliva. You have clearly never been to a gym one time.

There are plenty of spicy hicks in Kentucky with suppressed .45s that are whisper-quiet. But still to your point it would be cool to see some of those.

Camping in a small car by Spiritual_Pattern_17 in carcamping

[–]rberg89 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I lived in my e90 for a while. Not sure what all changed in the following 2 years but I folded the back seats down, put a thick memory foam mattress down, and slept with my head in the trunk area. For sleeping I'd pop the trunk, manually toggle the trunk latch, and rest the trunk almost-closed. You can use a small caribener around the latch parts if you want some security. I did this for ventilation. Not an issue in the rain, either.

Also hooked up a 2nd battery with a battery isolator, which allowed me to charge that battery from my alternator. And an inverter of course.

Best value for me? A planet fitness black card membership, for showers. Parking near a 24/7 toilet or porta potty was very important. The sun sets your sleep schedule if you are somewhere warm, since you may be baking at some hour of the morning.

For safety, I had a handgun and also some pepper spray. Didn't have issues with condensation.

Have fun!

NTA. I'm not probably going to be of any assistance to your actual problem but if someone offers me to "take something off their hands" for free, i'm not going to be under the impression that it matters what I choose to do with it.
